      Where is he??

      #182409

My understanding is that we are waiting to be able to send him back to Wolves in January.
He has no place in the team. His attitude and work ethic is poor.
I am told by unnamed sources.

On the few minutes we’ve seen him he does have a huge talent, but seeing him with the under 23s a while back he lacks application.

Probably a big sulking dummy spitter who thinks he’s ready for the Prem when infact he’d get eaten alive

Theres 2 sides to a coin though, put yourself in his boots. He comes from a Prem side to be playing in the under23’s something he could have done at Wolves.
A player like him needs first team competitive minutes on the pitch then you might see a different attitude.

I know I’d be totally p1ssed off to the high hilt with the upheaval only to play in a reserve side.
In a side were most weeks we can’t buy a goal from our forwards surely giving the lad a place on the bench might change his attitude.
These type of lads need game time to show their worth, remember Reece James ?.
And please dont say “Hes not good enough” when you’ve only seen him on the pitch for a few minutes.

The reason he’s not getting first team time is because of his workrate and/or attitude and/or skill levels.
And I agree, we can’t judge him. But those who see him at training (or maybe not, if you catch my drift) make those decisions.

The same ones who think Gelhardts not worthy of more than 5-10 fleeting minutes when Dunkley’s your top scorer ?.
I’m not saying he’d any good what I’m saying is, the lads took a drop to come to us hoping to get some competitive Championship football minutes under his belt.

I’m sure I’d be totally fcuked off after coming from Prem side to play in a Latics reserves when he could have done that at Wolves without the upheveal.

You got to see it from both sides. I can’t see him been up for a reserve game at a struggling Championship side. Would letting him loose say Saturday for 20 minutes done him any harm ?.
Again I’m not sticking up for the lad but I can see were he’s coming from.

Footballs littered with young players with big ego’s all wanting to prove themselves and get that big move and big money. For him its 12 months of wasted time in a short career were time flies.

Cook should of tried him and gave him a chance here and there you never know it might just have lit a spark.

For me, get Cook out the fcukin door asap and let’s move on and forward.

Dujon Sterling looked quite poor on his debut against stoke in the cup game. Had to wait until cook and gang realised that Byrne is not a championship player before giving him a league start.
I agree with cup winners here, it’s all hear say about what’s actually happening with this guy and if he has a bad attitude, its up to our management to get him thinking positive, just like they did with a certain Mr Powell. The other option is to send the feker back to Wolves with a note from his mum explaining why he’s being returned.

Wasn’t we hearing that Windass had spat his dummy out about not playing and been posting things on social media about his fitness position? He played Saturday so I presume it was either all “hear say” or they’ve slapped his hands and got his attitude back where it should be.
Cook and team must do the same with this Bright geezer or get shut. I would think if the things that George has referred to are true,
theres enough reasons for the club to terminate his loan contract with immediate effect.

                      What a journey!
