Just seen that myself.
9 August 2018 at 4:31 pm #170925Dan Burn. Player of the year, season before last, gave 100% every game. A terrific player. I thank him on behalf of my family, all season ticket holders, for his time at Wigan and, whilst we will still see him in our defence this season, albeit not every game, WE wish him every success when he eventually starts his journey with Brighton.
Personally I believe he will do very well in the Premiership. Negative comments here are rather disengenious considering the service this player has given.
I would hope that Burn will be given support and thanks and not have to put up with the boo boys, who forget that people in all walks of life change jobs.

Well said. Unfortunately we have a particularly small minded fanbase who will no doubt boo him next time he plays for us.
9 August 2018 at 4:50 pm #170928The thing i dont understand with this transfer is that burn IMO struggled during his time with us in the championship. He only started to come good during the last 10 – 12 games, when he began his one man ‘superman’ campaign. He was superb last season. But i don’t think he is a premier league player.
9 August 2018 at 5:32 pm #170929Good luck to the lad and I wish him every success as he was great for us and always gave 100%. I’m just really shocked a Prem team wants him, milk turns quicker and imo he’ll get found out.
9 August 2018 at 7:06 pm #170930Yes I wish him well, but it’s bench time for him, but what a good un to have as back up if he starts instead of Kone i wont be impressed.
9 August 2018 at 7:23 pm #170933One of our prize assets sold for pennies in the Premier League world.
9 August 2018 at 7:41 pm #170941One of our prize assets sold for pennies in the Premier League world. He’s out of contract at the end of the year so we’d get nothing for him.
Transfer fees reflect the length of existing contract too.9 August 2018 at 7:55 pm #170943It isn’t actually a bad deal when you consider he would probably have gone for nothing in May or less than £4m in January.
We get him back probably until the end of the season and can assess the market properly for a replacement.
Powell looks to be staying as well so not bad business
