I’ve been looking at their pages and their squad, I really believe they’re there for the taking, next Saturday.
Their supporters are losing patience with Nigel Pearson, some are already calling for him to go. Could we be the team responsible for him getting the chop? I feel that Norwich showed us a lack of respect, and I think other clubs will do the same. If Latics beat Bristol City, will they think theyve lost to someone they should be beating? (Arrogance)
I’ve looked at their squad and there doesnt look a lot to fear. Weimann is a danger. They have both Joe Williams and Kal Naismith in their ranks and we know both could either be very good, or very average. I think the 3 points are there for the taking if we perform how we can.
8 August 2022 at 7:37 am #196842Three defeats against a side who just avoided relegation and two promoted sides may well hand the bear wrestler his P45. They didnt look great on Saturday and we repeatedly carved them open. Even at 2-1 up I couldnt see them holding onto their lead.
12 August 2022 at 8:49 am #196858These are the teams we need to beat especially home if we stand any chance of staying up.
Granted they have an aging frontline but so do we in Magennis and Wyke. I personally think they’ll be one of the sides down fighting to stay up so we need to get at them early doors and put the pressure on them from the start.
We can I’ll afford what we did for a large part of last season which was fall behind early on.
I reckon a 1-1 draw and they’ll try to keep us at bay. I’m not sure we’re our goals are going to currently come from a problem we need to resolve asap14 August 2022 at 8:33 am #196874It panned out exactly how I thought. The usual early conceded goal then Bristol City holding on and a 1-1 draw.
Why tf we always feel the need go 1 down is beyond me14 August 2022 at 8:45 am #196875You forgot to say that the introduction of Aasgaard changed the game, and what a good decision it was by LR. You could have also added, “told you so”.
14 August 2022 at 9:55 am #196876Would it not been better if Richardson gave the lad a start??. I saw Burnley gave a 19 year old Costelloe a start Friday. That’s a manager having the belief and faith in the youngster.
I would say Aasgaard is a better player, he need to start games14 August 2022 at 10:38 am #196879Maybe he’ll be rewarded with a start next week.
I’m certain he could see the same positives from Aasgaard that we all could see !14 August 2022 at 11:24 am #196880Apparently Wigan A&E was at breaking point on Saturday evening with serious injuries to Bristol City players after the game v Wigan Athletic.
Fuck the EFL
14 August 2022 at 4:50 pm #196881Aaasgaard starts every game for me on that performance yesterday.
