My concern is fitting these games in! It’ll be another come the Southampton game! From 30th March – 21st April we have 7 games pencilled in !
28 February 2018 at 3:21 am #167026With the exception of the first half against Giillingham, we haven’t put in a convincing league performance since before Christmas. That’s been the issue. The squad has been strengthened but there’s been a consistent decline in the level of performances.
While you can excuse the Rochdale display after the number of changes, the West Ham and City games show the level we can produce. That is needed for the majority of the remaining league games. With 15 league games to go this won’t be decided by fixture congestion or luck. That’s why we went out of our way to back the manager in January. This is the time of year champion teams push on. It’s what Caldwell’s team did, it’s yet to be seen if Cook can do the same.

Then again, look at 1999. It could help us to get a run going.

And yet we were top throughout, have lost 2 in 19 maybe more and apart from games in hand would probably still be top.
I agree SH77…..we are in trouble here.
28 February 2018 at 12:42 pm #167032There’ll be a semi-final to fit in too.
28 February 2018 at 12:45 pm #167033I’ll take play offs and another trip to wembley!
28 February 2018 at 1:00 pm #167036The Southend and Cesspool defeats have really hurt us now with Rovers keep winning. We simply have to beat them on Sunday to regain the upper hand. Lose and the title will be extremely difficult to win. We have Bradford and Scunny as well which are really difficult as well. By the time we play Saints I think we will have a clearer picture as to our chances of promotion.C,Mon you tics.

Sounds a little complacent to me.
With 15 games to go we’ve suddenly realised we’re in a battle for automatic promotion. We can’t take any of these games in hand as a given as our league form has dropped way off. Maybe the City game and fatigue was the reason. We should know well before the final 10 game run-in whether we’re back on top form or destined for the play-off lottery.
28 February 2018 at 8:28 pm #167052As I’ve stated before i work in Blackburn so last night at work they were absolutely full of themselves. All i heard was “the pressures on you now”.I retorted by stating the opposite……they darent lose or they are handing us the title effectively…..Thats how I see it.A massive result if we can nail em..and you know what…..with our set up….manager who has recently set us up brilliantly for individual games …our away form…..then I think we will do them.A win really would put us in pole position abd leave Shrewsbury and Rovers to scrap for 2nd……heres hoping.
28 February 2018 at 8:43 pm #167053Exactly Brownbill. Nice to finally see some positivity.
IF Rovers beat us AND fail to drop a point for the rest of the season, they would still need us to drop a further 4 points in order to pass us.
As Cooky has said….let’s see where we are when the games even themselves out.
28 February 2018 at 10:18 pm #167057I wouldn’t be unhappy with a draw !
28 February 2018 at 11:27 pm #167058Draw would be a great result Al but we will beat them.
28 February 2018 at 11:32 pm #167059Rovers can’t afford to lose if they did were right behind them with 4 in hand.
Take a draw now but think we’re going look to win it as we always do. Play full strength Powell Byrne morsey confident of 3 points.
