Looks like he’s asked for a move, wants out and you can’t blame the lad. A shame really as he was about the only consistent player at the club.
I just hope Kolo’s little book of contacts is used daily and he calls on some favours.

Not only that, if and when he does bring in fresh blood the one thing he needs to do is, PLAY THEM
don’t bringing in players then use them as backup. As it stands some of the current crop are simply not good enough.

Let’s see who’s in Kolo’s little book of contacts.

Seem to recall something similar being said about Yootha Joyce’s list of contacts and look how that turned out; making Mackay look like Bill Shankly. :negative:

A shame as I liked Broadhead , a good lad who always gave his all.
His contract is up allegedly this summer so if this is the case Everton will probably want to sell him and given his record at Sunderland and Ellis Simms going back I’d expect him to go back there.
I would rather Kolo bring more lads from the development squad than buy a loads of nobodies.
It never worked back in 2017 and I doubt it will work now.
Lang, Asgard and Hughes are all home grown and have arguably been the best players of late , all play for the shirt and know what it means.
After Monday and being outclassed by a lowly team like Hull I have resigned myself to relegation now.
Recruit sparingly Kolo and have a good look at that development squad because it is starting to produce.

Broadhead signed a new 2year contract till summer 2024 with Everton in August just gone as he was due to leave in the summer of 2023 for nothing.

            It was a case of:
Sign a new deal or spend 12months with the kids so when you do leave you’ll be worth peanuts wages wise.
This way Everton can command a fee, the lad gets the experience before leaving in the January or summer window.
As for Kolo’s book?, The difference between Joyce and Kolo’s books is, Kolo played the game for 15 years+ at 4 of the biggest clubs in the UK and coached at two clubs so I’d imagine his book would be far superior to Joyce’s one page pamphlet.

Let’s give him time, rarely do managers get it right when they come into clubs with a squad that badly needs overalling. For me he needs at least 2 transfer windows Jan and the summer the only problem is

In which Division, tbh I cannot stomach League One football no matter what we do

I agree no use getting rid of him whatsoever , hee needs the time.
The club over achieved last season and expectations were sky high.
Yes bring in some players but don’t over do it and look for bargains and youth policy players.
I hope he has some good contacts and can bring in some players but I am old school and believe in scouting and youth policies and the best managers over the past 60 or 70 years followed that simple process when you look at it .
No use bringing in players with wide boy hard sell agents coming in for a wage and then slinging it next summer.
I am no fan of league 1 football but we seem to thrive in that division and a few seasons of bouncing between the two but making progress isn’t the end of the world.
A busted club and administration made me realise that it doesn’t really matter where you are in football , every club has its level.

The problem Kolo has is, we’ve 1 home game 2 away in the League before the window closes. He needs to act right now before the Cardiff game not days before the window closes so we stand half a chance of nicking a point here and there and also giving him time to integrate the new players.

If he doesn’t bring in or improve the current crop of players immediately like yesterday then the ship might have sailed before we even get a chance to claw away from the bottom.

We do not have have the time to faff around he needs to act quickly before the window shuts.
Granted, its easier said than done but that’s why their paid so well

For starters I’d drag Humphreys back,he’s gotta be better than what we have. Unlike Fletcher, Magennis he’s got pace something we totally lack and always a threat.Scully has pace but what the hell is going on with him god only knows, off on loan if the press stories are true. Yes it’s difficult recruitment but as stated in earlier post we need to get bodies in sooner rather than later before another 3 games go the same way as previous 3.

Watched highlights of Yanic in action on You tube….2015…..Feels like that really was last time we played quick, exciting football. His partnership with Grigg and the blistering pace down the wing was brilliant to watch. Feels like an eternity ago,now we seem stuck with this ponderous hit and hope crap.

So Shinnie’s gone and I don’t think he’ll be coming back even though he’s here till summer 2024. I’m not sure why he was never asked to fill in at left back as he’s played that position quite a bit.

Me?, I don’t forget last season were Richardson shoe horned Shinnie in at the expense of Darikwa and Power playing their natural positions and Shinnie was a disaster to say the least.
So back to it, is Broadhead worth £1million ?, Yes for me and if we had the coin I’d pay but it seems like we don’t.
I personally feel this transfer window will be the usual 5 in 5 out then sit them on the bench while McClean gets hammered and Power plays sub standard football and Wyke Pearce stay injured and we let more out on loan.
Will we stay up?, I pray to God we do but to been realistic it’s looking like we’ve more chance of platting a turd.

It’s like a landlord letting a property go to ruin then spend £50 on a lick of paint before new the new year of students move in.

We never recruited in the summer and we are now paying the price. We’ve spent on the new manager and backroom staff in the hope he can be Wigan’s answer and become that landlord with his b&q 10L magnolia but I’m pretty much sure after only a handful of games Kolo’s had a football slap of reality which will require either some shrewd loan signings in the style of Reece James or we spend heavily (which ain’t gonna happen).

I personally feel the owners won’t be here much longer. I feel they’ve landed thinking this won’t take much sorting and have had a wake-up call were it will take millions just to remain stable and huge monthly loses.
The non paying of wages was an indicator and next year I’m sure that will reoccur.

He’s left you guys to sign permanently for Ipswich. I thought that if he requested to cut his loan deal short to make a permanent switch then it would be to a higher placed championship club. Yes, there were rumours of a return to Sunderland, which got even stronger when Everton recalled Ellis Simms, but I suspect he burnt his bridges by not coming in the summer for whatever reason and our DOF has decided to look elsewhere.

But I’m very surprised that he has chosen to drop down to the 3rd division as he hasnt looked out of his depth for you guys this season, unlike others. Looking at that table, its a 3 way shoot out for the top two, but the top 7 only have 2 defeats between them in the past 6 games, so everyone is in form. Definitely no guarantee of championship football for Ipswich next season.

I’ve just checked the L1 table. Ipswich as it stands lie in 3rd, 7 points of top spot. Long way to go, but I agree, there is every chance there is no guarantee of promotion either.

Nevertheless, Ipswich have a very prolific goalscorer for that division.
