Well at least we won’t have to give up the East Stand. If we had of drawn say Liverpool or Utd and after last time out I think this time round he’d have put us all in the South Stand and given the them the North, East and West Stand.
It’s clearly all about taking and little giving. Were not talking a multi millionaire here a multi billionaireCan’t take it with you pal
18 January 2025 at 2:27 pm #204795What a complete and utter shit window this has been considering we are owned by one of the wealthiest people in the country.
Very much a widow we would have expected in the days we recruited Morton and Gavin etc. we have gone back 30 years.19 January 2025 at 12:00 am #204799Wait til Aasgaard is sold and the 3 million just disappears….
Still, at least we have a club. 🤦
20 January 2025 at 7:57 pm #204822Are you going then tomorrow LHL?
20 January 2025 at 10:24 pm #204826Aye; but the clock is ticking to season ticket renewal or becoming a fair weather, big game casual.
Probably go to all the away games only, as part of my boycott if Danson doesn’t step up to the hockey20 January 2025 at 10:58 pm #204828Not sure about the Hockey but definitely the Rugby.
29 January 2025 at 9:04 pm #20494730 January 2025 at 9:14 am #20494830 January 2025 at 9:30 am #204949So it seems Ronan Darcy from Crawley is been lined up to replace Aasgaard.
A few people have mentioned him saying he ran the show back August but tbh I can’t remember what I had for my tea Tuesday nevermind one player 20 odd games back.
Looking at his stats he’s not a goal scorer as such but that might be the way Crawley set up I don’t know.
The one worrying thing I’ve noticed is, he’s started 1 game in his last 10 for Crawley (not injured) and was subbed in that. 3 times he came off the bench and in 6 of those 10 matches he wasn’t even included in the matchday squad.
You would have to red flag question why ?
30 January 2025 at 12:39 pm #204952If this is the sum of our aspirations and ambition, we really are in massive trouble.
We’re only heading in one direction at this club. The difference to 93-94 when we recruited suchlikes as Morton and Gavin is we really didn’t have a pot to piss in, were paying players £200pw and our top goalscorer ended up being Andy Lyons who also worked as a postie in Blackpool whilst playing for us. But…even though we were shite, we did score goals. And we did play attacking football. We were miles better than how we’ve been showing recently.30 January 2025 at 1:57 pm #204953They also back then would be so devoid of reserve players it was not uncommon some to be drafted in from the local pub leagues to play in Central league games.
Just hope the goals come from somewhere because if they dont we might have a very difficult last few months of the season.30 January 2025 at 2:00 pm #204954Agree CW.Then again he does fit our 24/25 transfer policy, uninspiring!!.Can’t get in Crawley team recently ,hardly scores but at least not a winger. Supposedly also after a midfielder from Fulham on loan and yet again the striker void remains…….recruitment is run by the Chuckle brothers!!!
30 January 2025 at 3:08 pm #204956I don’t know what the actual wall is they’ve got to us going for a striker. You see clubs like Leyton Orient, Bromley, and many others and you see they’ve got a player who can be a real handful and can score goals. Yet we always go for someone who doesn’t score goals.
I’m sick to death of loan players now. Apart from Taylor, they’ve been crap who they’ve brought in. And this self sufficient nonsense they keep wittering on about, how’s that going to work in forthcoming seasons when we haven’t got any more young scarlets to sell on? Because we’ve relied heavily on borrowed players.
It’s a short-term thing, definitely not a long term thing. Unless we discover some absolute gems…its not going to happen.
30 January 2025 at 7:08 pm #204958Well he’s signed and I’m not gonna start off all’s I’ll say is welcome to the jungle and good luck. I hope he comes here and looks at this opportunity as his big chance to prove his worth so good luck to the lad.
Biggest problem he’ll have at Wigan the guy picking the side is Mr Rusty
30 January 2025 at 10:24 pm #204962Oh I hope Ronan Darcy does really well for us. No beef with the player, at all.
