I can’t believe it. Hull have been relegated 2 days and no post with Bullard linked to Wigan in the title.
I’ve obviously had to rectify the situation immediately
For what its worth, as one of Martinez’s central midfield three, if we could have him for nowt on the right wages, allowing for his injury record, yes I would take him. But I don’t think Martinez will.
I for one would have Jimmy back tomorrow. He’s such an inspirational player and he adds so much to team spirit, which judging by our inconsistent season we need abit more of. Imo we’ve not replaced him properly since he left (besides Palacios, but he wasn’t here for long) I just think Jimmy coming to Wigan would be like a hero coming home.

I hope it happens.
You also rate the duke, them rose tinted glasses you wear must be awesome!
Please don’t get the words “rate” and “rated” confused. I don’t rate the Duke atall, he was a once promising player who went downhill when he made the brilliant decision of joining West Brom.
Bullard is a completely different kettle of fish, he’s a Premier League class player who would bring alot to our team I think.

I’m not saying for a second that we should sign him on the back of a funny advert, otherwise I’d want Alexander the meerkat, but it’s a mark of the mans character if nothing else.

Very true. I don’t think the dressing room will ever have the same feeling about it like it did when Bullard, Bainesy and Teale etc were here. Anyone remember the dressing room incident with Bullard and the washing basket? One of the major problems with a team full of different nationals
Actually my memories of Jimmy Bullard are of me yelling at him to pass it forward not sideways, to sigh in exasperation at him failing to clear the first man with a corner, and to ask loudly why he has to take every free-kick when he couldn’t hit a barn door (Newcastle away excepted).
Actually, thinking about it, he’d fit in perfectly.
Good player – but not the demi-God that he is being made out to be. Being a “character” doesn’t make a star player – or what we need.

Seen that advert a few times before. The man is a legend without playing football! :D
I thought he was a great player during his whole period at Latics but I wouldn’t have him back here for 3 reasons:
1) His wages
2) His injury record
3) The manner in which (IMO) he engineered his move away from Latics & then lied to the supporters to try & keep his “I’m such a great guy & not a mercenary in any way, shape or form like all those other modern footballers” image
