I have a Chesterfield supporting friend and so have followed for a while. He had completely lost support, pretty much for the same reasons as here: inflexible, boring, slow play with players who weren’t up to it, and who would be better being coached to boot to row Z when necessary.In a way I think it is a shame. I think he moved into management too soon. He should have stayed coaching and assisting for a lot lot longer; cut his teeth under someone else. Really I can’t see how he had the necessary skills for such a job. Any way, hope he gets another appropriate job, and does well there.

It’s ok having a footballing philosophy but you have to look at your players first to see what they are capable of. Always thought he was trying to emulate bob, didn’t really have is own ideas, and that shows in the fact he doesn’t / can’t change things on the pitch.
