OK we had a very bad day on Saturday. We played a team with fire in their belly and we didn’t take it seriously enough.

Everybody is to blame for that defeat and the team deserved the boos.

But now we have to regroup and get ready for some tough times ahead. The next few weeks won’t be easy so it will be a good time to get behind Bobby and the boys.

I saw some signs of hope on Saturday. Boselli will score goals, McCarthy and Moses looked dynamic and McArthur impressed when he came on.

I got the feeling something was wrong and that could be down to Nzogbia. Bobby has had to deal with players wanting to leave the club at the beginning of the last two seasons – it’s not easy. Figs looked like he wanted out as well.

Saturday was a real downer but it’s certainly not the lowest we have been. It was embarrassing but to say you are ashamed to be a Latics fan is caving in like our defence.

Our supporters have always dealt with these occasions with good humour – before we got in the Prem. My Blackpool mates have been on but I accepted they deserved the win with good grace and then told them to look at the table at the end of the season! Hopefully we can relegate them in April.

If this is our last season in the Prem, so be it. I will continue to enjoy the ride and look forward to something different next year.

One thing is for sure, with Bobby in charge this is never going to be boring and we will see a lot of goals at both ends.

One guy came up to me in Newton WMC after the match and said “It’s been a bad day but I will always SUPPORT the Latics.” He was a lot younger than me…. there is some hope!

I still can’t get over it. We lost 4-0 at home to Blackpool, they should be in League 1 now !

Why should they? They’ve earnt their place in the Premier League just like everyone else.

If they “should be” in League One, where should we be, League Two, Blue Square?

I’m disgusted with the performance as much as anyone but no need to disrespect Blackpool like that.

you got to take the rough with the smooth, for richer or poorer is what they say. like some one said on another post they can remember the pne game at springy with the life line buckets. I remember that game, I seem to remember Alan Gowling playing for them. we got beat 0-1 if my memory serves me well. they were hard times for are club. we have been through far worse then what’s going on now. were is the the Dunkirk spirit?????. some of are fans might have it but some of the mercenaries that pass as players??? well that’s a different story? :(
