Don’t think I’ll be able to name our squad on Friday Neet ! It’s like the proverbial revolving door ! At least we’ll be busy with new nicknames for them all.
Up to now, with one and a half hours to go, there have been 11 ins or outs in the window at the DW. Its been a busy old January so far.
Make that 18, there may be others, I’ve lost track.
Too many of the cnuts I will need to splash out and buy a programme on Friday.
Somebody had a few drinkies before typing last night hugh?
Why are people saying only 2 will be here or only 3 will be here next year? Sure there’s least 4 that I can think of…
1. Matt Gilks
2. Josh Laurent
3. Omar Bogle
4. Mikael Mandron…
Am I missing something?
It is possible the post you are relating to was made prior to the anouncement of Obertan, Bogle and a few more, as they did come through thick and fast late on.
I think at the time I posted, Bogle hadn’t been confirmed or obviously I would have said 4 but it really isn’t that important.
Oh there are some cracking fish in the Yarrow all the way from Rivington down to where it meets the Douglas at the other side of Croston. Salmon, Sea Trout, Chubb, Dace, Roach, Perch, Bream, Pike, Flounder, Loach and the odd Barbel.
Some lengths have signs up saying Southport Fly Fishers or something like that. Just ignore them and fish anyway. Didn’t see them when the river was dead from the bleach works and every Weir had a nice frothy foam.
Again! but only three Gilks Mandron and Laurent will be here next season.
Looking at this (1day 17hr ago…) .. I was right, they had already signed. Are any of them just short term deals or something? Or am I just correct?
The post referred to by donnys page was now 1 day and 20 hours ago, which would mean it was posted around 10pm on deadline day. I am sure there is a chance that some of the later transfers had not been announced.
According to the BBC deadline day listings Omar Bogle signed at 11.49pm. The three above names had gone through by then, along with Obertan, but you both forgot about him, so you are as wrong as Donny. Stick to fish, you are better at that.

I rememder the water in the Syd Brook being bright orange most of the time.
But Overran has only signed to the end of the season so we may not have him next year. Syd Brook used to flow orange and yellow with the pit ocker from Welsh Whittle Colliery. Pure filth it was!

You’re either very petty/pedantic or just on the wind up! I can’t decide yet! :)
Quick edit- I’m actually surprised that you didn’t pull Al up for his spelling of ‘Can’t’! ;)
