Well, the sooner we can get rid of the disruptive entities in the squad the more time we have of really restructuring things. England need to establish a proper promotion system from the U19s-U21s to the senior side, or we’ll get steadily worse!
Spot on Pelican, but until we have 1 body that actually knows what its doing and isn’t just interested in looking after its own, it will never happen. There surely isn’t another footballing nation that has 3 organisations running its national game, the PL/FL and FA need to come under the umbrella of 1 body of football people, who will run the game in the interests of everyone, from the Champions right down to the grass roots.
capello should have gone and an english manager given the job.Then the passion which we have seen over the years would have slowly come back,an english manager would also have a better idea of the youth coming through unlike capello whos team selection seems tobe more or less the same group of players every time and just because he reconises there names from his sticker album

He said today that if the players are “tired” like they were going into this World Cup, then they won’t do well in 2012.
Is he being serious?! Can professional sportsmen not play 90 minutes of football without becoming exhausted for the rest of the week or something? They had as much time as everybody else to prepare themselves, and it’s already been shown, when he gave the same excuse after the defeat to Germany, that their players played more football last season!
Funny how it’s only England that were tired after the Premier League season – don’t half the players at the World Cup play over here?
I think he looks like Brains aswell!
