what we need is a midfielder or central defender with passion to drag the rest of the teams heads up off the ground, brum got 1 goal back ( even though it was never a free kick) and it was though we were losing 3-1 …..heads down , no encouragement from anybody…. the captain, bobby or even graham jones…. i dont think cattermole would just look for pity …. we need someone in the same mould as cattermould lol
Been saying that for the last couple of years – had Hutchings made Scharner captain rather than Melchiot we’d have played to the ambition he had when he first arrived and never have had the 6 monthly transfer talk. Making Catts captain ahead of him must have also grated.
Melchiot as been a good player for us but sadly passed his best now and not vocal enough to be leader on the pitch you never see him gee the players up :roll:
