Was it not Gartside who was advocating a closed-shop premier league (or it might have been that idiot Cook at City) with no relegation?
If so, I think his idea was to get all the big-supported (and therefore cash-generating) clubs in the premier and then close it off. Laughably, he must believe Bolton to be one of them.
I agree with you, most definitely.
However as a Latics fan, and yes, it’s natural to dislike that lot from over the hill, I was thinking about BWFC the other day, when I was up at Middlebrook.
In all honesty, I think they are a decent football club. Their ground, despite the spiders web, is smarter looking than ours, and I think they put more thought into gaining revenue when they built it. The wife’s been to a conference held there, and she said it was very smart inside. They’ve got the De Vere hotel as well, and it all generates extra income. The problem with the DW stadium is it doesn’t generate enough income on non match days. Ok, there’s Rigalleto’s, but how busy does it get, midweek? I just don’t think enough thought was put into our stadium. The knocked a stadium up for sporting use, not much else.
This is just my own thoughts, and obviously, I don’t like BWFC. Hate them? No, hate is too strong. Just don’t like them.
Boltons chairmong at it again with his two tear premiership and letting the Old Firm in, i think he needs to declare his intrest in these clubs. After the way the fans behaved in europe i think couldnt have picked a worse time to pipe up with the poo again.
I will just add that Celtics brilliant supporters just booed the minites silence and sang certain songs at their game v Falkirk FC . Fantastic, arent they.
Rangers are jusy a bunch of hooligans and Celtic are the sporting wing of the Provisional IRA. Falkirk were asked by Celtic to have a minutes applause today instead of a minutes silence as Celtic knew it would be disrespected by their fans.
They should all be told to get to f*ck.
