Celtic thugs running riot abroad.
I hope the press associate them with the country of the flag they carry and not the country they are from!!
To think if we go through to the Knockout stages of The Europa we could draw this garbage.10 November 2013 at 1:31 am #123330Surely they’ll just be connected to Celtic FC as opposed to Scotland, Ireland, England etc etc
11 November 2013 at 12:27 pm #123364The local police think there were 4 or 5 different clubs in town that night looking for trouble, Cletic fans were in the middle of it. History also was against this tie, given the stabbings last time Celtic were in Amsterdam.
Policing was awful, Celtic fans shouldnt react, but how do you not !
12 November 2013 at 4:22 pm #123377im getting pretty sick of the anti irish/celtic thing thats spreading like a virus through the club, this season more than ever before , like has been said earlier just because he doent want to wear a poppy so what ? you dont know his reasons nor do i , perhaps he should come out and give his reasons then we could understand a bit more
now this celtic thug thing its the amsterdam police who are thugs who went undercover and attacked at random shirt wearing celtic fans who were doing no more than we were doing in bruge just having a good piss up thats what they are all about not like rangers who wrecked manchester city centre last time they were involved in a game in europe that had any meaning.we have many players and management who have celtic/irish connections at this club and i know quite a few people of this persuation whi , if they saw this kind of bile that is being spread would not want to come the games while this is going on , i prefer to keep it nuetral .12 November 2013 at 5:18 pm #123379i prefer to keep it nuetral .really??? Maybe you should try it then coz that post certainly wasn’t
Undercover Amsterdam police attacking random Celtic fans (never heard of it happening to any other club’s supporters who’ve been to Ajax)??? Just having a good pish up …. not like Rangers fans …. last time they had a game in Europe with any meaning??
It all sounds very neutral
Come to think of it, didn’t Rangers blame the police for instigating the trouble in Manchester city centre?
I detect a theme12 November 2013 at 5:26 pm #123380like has been said earlier just because he doent want to wear a poppy so what ? you dont know his reasons nor do i perhaps he should come out and give his reasons then we could understand a bit moreActually most do/should know his reasons as he explained it when he chose not to wear the poppy playing for Sunderland.
I personally don’t think he had any obligation to explain himself to anyone as it is as much anyone’s right to wear a poppy as it is to choose not to with the public judging him as they see fit.
There is nothing to explain this time anyroad as he didn’t refuse to wear a poppy he didn’t make the squad through injury.
Roll on next year so arseholes like Smuttynob can attempt to tarnish our great club with it.

As someone said on the website I saw it on, show me unedited footage of the events. The youtube clip I’ve seen is so heavily edited as to make it absolutely worthless in helping to decide what went on – for instance showing one bloke legging it shortly before he is set upon by 4 plain clothes coppers just makes me think what the hell happened for that bloke to come legging it from all the way over there with those coppers following him whilst they’re ignoring everybody else.
The coppers claim they were attacked, some Celtic fans say they were attacked – the truth is probably a bit of both at times. One thing I will say though after seeing the footage is that the footage before the violence does the Celtic fans on it no favours. I’m no prude & have been all over the shop & in all sorts of states of drunkeness watching Latics but I’ve never shown so little respect for somewhere as to leave or fling my rubbish everywhere or lob & smash beer bottles all over the shop. There’s “having a good p**s up” & there’s treating a place like s**t & some Celtic fans were clearly doing the latter
13 November 2013 at 2:02 pm #123404Celtic fans in a city that favours the colour orange?
It was always on the cards that there would be trouble.
13 November 2013 at 2:57 pm #123406Now if they had all kicked back with a nice relaxing smoke none of that would have happened !

Believe it or not, some Celtic fans were genuinely pinning the bother on bigotry & prejudice against them from “the land of King Billy”
13 November 2013 at 4:21 pm #123410Seems like Uefa seem to be stacking charges against the Ajax fans from the first and second leg.!

13 November 2013 at 6:41 pm #123416You’re not exactly in the same league as Switzerland when it comes to neutrality are you?
