Anybody know why this match is being played on Friday night?
It isn’t on the box as far as I can see.I’d imagine that it was a request from Latics in order to give the players an additional days rest between this game & the one on New Year’s Day – & Charlton agreed

Not impressed by this decision as I dislike Winter night matches and am very surprised that Charlton have agreed to the swap as it’s their fans that will be most put out it will also reduce the amount of away fans, I would have expected a decent following of Charlton fans for a Saturday match.

Why not home, away, home, away right through the season. Not that it’ll make much difference at all to the crowd. Many thanks for the polite answer to my question Mutty, without the need for a flippant or sarcastic answer.Ive a ST, but if the weather is bad, I.E. snowy and freezing, I’ll be tempted to give this one a miss I’m afraid. The temptation of left over turkey and quality street and staying in watching crap telly will probably be too much.
Live at the top of a steep hill in Horwich so if any white stuff about i’ll get a good dose, season ticket staying in the wallet for this one.
I love the Friday night football and were all set for this one frankie and Bennys for T and a load of beers then the game all we need now is summer football.
