As I have mentioned in Kirkland thread Andy Lonnegran from North End would be a good acquisition to the side and also wouldn’t be too dear ! He is a decent keeper and young. Also why not approach Portsmouth for David Nugent he would be ideal for us and he also would be a cheap purchase and is local lad as is Lonnegran ! Both Portsmouth and North End could really do with the money !
Benni McCarthy the odd man out at Blackburn, desperate for first team football to keep his place in South African team, has the experience and would fit the Whelan wallet.
Benni doesn’t even look like he wants to be at Blackburn and would be a superb addition for us, not far for him to move either, if he would move….
Nugent is not good enough and a trouble maker of the highest order.
We could do a lot worse than putting an offer in for Beattie. When your manager headbutts you, you know it’s time to move on. He’ll leave Stoke in January – you can bet your house on that.
If Bob studied the way that Nugent gets goals and changed his tactics to bring this to fruition then Nugent would be a viable cheap option. I know what he does but I cant go into it in detail on here but if Bob was to also see it then bingo we will get goals ! Cheap as chips DW !
why not try for BEN FOSTER, DOS SANTOS (SPURS) , ALAN HUTTON (SPURS) GARETH BALE (SPURS) AND ROBBIE KEANE (SPURS) seen as spurs seem to be having a clear out maybe one or to of them on loan.

Nicky Shorey from Villa was a star for Reading when they first came up and got called up for England if i remember rightly. On loan at Forest at the moment and looked good on sky the other day against nob end. Can attack and defend too unlike Bale.
