I really feel for the Manager and players tonight,they have had some terrible stick for most part of the season but when they really start to dig in and earn results they are kicked in the balls by gutless cheating gobshites.This moron should be forced to come on the tele and explain his pathetic performance and give reasons to his decisions.I know its a hard and thankless job but when an official gives a major decision so wide of the mark then he should answer to them.

Let’s hope this works to our advantage over the next few games, with the officials being hesitant to blow or flag against the Latics; fearing the scrutiny & exposure by video. Wishful thinking I know, but you have to hope for some equilibrium of justice, sonner rather than later.
But if the team can keep their heads up and continue to play well, then I think we can do it yet again and stick it up the establishment !
Thought the officials gave us feck all yesterday. Even the commentators were baffled by some of his decisions. A foul on Moses by Essien given as a free kick to Chelsea for handball (he knew he’d have to send Essien off), Figueroa booked for winning the ball when Torres’ foot was 6ft off the floor, the first goal being offside, two offsides for the winner (how can Ivanovic say he isn’t interfering when he sticks his foot out to tap it in??)
I was really p*ssed off yesterday. We fully deserved a point, we deserved to be 16th after our recent performances and it was all taken away by some utter incompetence by a set of gobshites who as you say won’t have to explain their decisions to anyone.
I fear these sorts of decisions will be forgot quickly in the media.
We should have took the ball into the corner on the last minute and took the draw.

Doesn’t make either of you right. I’ll say it again, would you have been complaining had we scored? No, but no doubt you would be on here moaning our lack of ambition against a Chelsea team that were “there for the taking”?

There was no defintely about it.
It was very poor reffing without a doubt( not seen that before……….not!) but our defending was rubbish for their second goal and such a shame all the good work was undone in a few mad seconds.At least 3 players could have got tighter especially Diame who let their player dance through the midfield with space galore.
A good performance yes but how many times have we seen similar situations this season?Too many in my view!
Im a great believer in the video refs idea like they have in rugby league because these awful decisions could really cost the club at the season end.The Sunderland game at home sticks in my mind when Sunderland (non )footballer Bendtner fell over like a paper bag in the wind and the stupid ref that night gave them a free kick that the wind blew in on the stroke of half time.It ruined the game because up till then Latics had played well in dreadful conditions.
Video refs are he answer but wont happen-which is a shame!
