I wonder if it’s chelsea that played in the so-called “fixed” champions league game that took place in this country?????
Liverpool v chelsea at anfield perhaps (ball that didn’t cross the line) but given…..Could have won quite a lot of hong kong dollars that for someone?????
Going to be a very interesting game on Saturday. Chelsea have slipped up 4 times in the Prem against bottom clubs in the last 4-5 weeks, as well as against Brentford. Can we do the same?
Based on the close results at the Bridge over the last 2 seasons and out recent rescued draws my heart says yes…but my head says they won’t slip up again (and we won’t give them much cause to) and that Rafa will still be in a job come Sunday morning.
Apparently Chelsea have sold of there allocation, wonder if we have done the same?
Also, anyone know any decent pubs to get a cheeky beverage to tie us over from the train to the ground?

At £50 a ticket. What do you reckon?[/quote]
Appreciate that it is expensive, but at a time like this when Chelsea are playing badly, and we need a win, It’s got to be worth considering at least?, Living in Dorset costs me £52 a time for the train to a home game, but I don’t let that put me off.
Adam – there’s a few of us London based tics that will be at the game, following our (last?) annual pub crawl to Stamford Bridge from my house in SW London. You’re welcome to join us for the crawl either from the start or en route. When and where do you get in to London? Send me a PM if you’re interested.

Unfortuantely a lot of Wiganers do not have the disposable income or won’t pay £20 for a match ticket, let alone your £52 train fare plus match ticket.
The trip to Chelsea is a £200 trip to watch us (probably) lose, so I estimate there will be 200-300 there at the very most.

Yeah thats fair enough mate. It is expensive charging £50 a ticket or something similar. Is it us that have set the price to that, or do Chelsea tell us it has to be that?, Seems strange that at a time like this in the season we would be charging such OTT prices.

No, it’s Chelsea who charge it. Our lot know the fans well enough to keep prices down at a sensible price.
I won’t be there. I fall into the category of not enough social credits accrued in my husbandly/fatherly stamp book.
They’ll be down to their last few £80k a week players, soon.
Hmmmm…
Chelsea striker Demba Ba has tweeted that he is on his way to Italy to get fitted for a protective mask, after a broken nose looked set to rule him out of the weekend’s game with Wigan. Ba suffered the injury during a collision with former team-mate Fabricio Coloccini during Chelsea’s 3-2 defeat to Newcastle last weekend.
