Is it completed or has it fallen through? No one knows for sure, some say its done and dusted and an announcement is imminent, and others say there is no such deal and it is all pie in the sky.
We’ll just have to be patient and if it happens it happens and if not then we just get on with it and keep following this brilliant club as we always have.
29 December 2017 at 1:47 am #164564Once they agree to a price for ground, training ground and football side of things it’ll be just about dotting the I’d and crossing the T’s. Can’t see any bidder not wanting the lot.
29 December 2017 at 4:42 am #164565The ground and training ground aren’t owned by the same company as the club. That very liely will not be part of the deal.

That very liely will not be part of the deal.Technically you’re correct on the ground but Wigan Athletic Holdings own 100% of the shares of WAFC so if the takeover is correct then it’s not a massive leap to assume the buy out is of WA Holdings who also own 80% of the stadium company’s shares.
The training ground is owned by a different company whose directors are Whelan family members. It’s a different kettle of fish to the stadium but it would be relatively simple for a new buyer to purchase the training ground too

29 December 2017 at 4:07 pm #164570Red and white hoops?Over my dead body coz its the only time I would ever wear them horrendous colours. Blue is the colour football is the game. One life One love One Wigan Athletic.
29 December 2017 at 4:16 pm #164571It would be funny for a week to see the melt down
29 December 2017 at 4:23 pm #164572Might not be a million miles away there Egg if Leneghan assembles a consortium.
29 December 2017 at 4:34 pm #164573Take over or not money suddenly seems to be available as we are chasing both Walker and Windass. Rangers having rejected an offer of 200 grand supposedly.

Id like that as an away or third kit.
29 December 2017 at 7:54 pm #164578Regarding the Chinese Takeover…..
Or rather that of the Hong Kong based online gambling group, K8.
Rumour is, Whelans wanted the deal done before they fly off to Barbados, this weekend. This would mean the new owners in place and potential investment in time for January and the transfer window.
I think the next few days, or week, could be very telling. Ive a feeling tonight could be the last in the Whelan’s reign. I may be wrong.
29 December 2017 at 8:18 pm #164581You are bang on the money…..The deal is virtually done, just a few issues and the timing of the announcement to resolve.
