I think this is my favourite bit. I’d hazard a guess that perhaps a tiny minority of our regular support (ie STHs) comes from outside the Wigan area (perhaps Leyther Matt could shed some light on this). FFS, at the last fans forum IL stated that he wanted to see an increase in support from the Liverpool and Manchester areas.

Keep Dreamin son. I think their pathetic gates, the fact they would be in for an inevitable tonking against chelsea or man u, and the fact that 90% of the wigan sporting public would either be going to, or watching the WCC would mean they would take less than 10k to that final if they made it!!!

Im sorta hoping it happens, can you imagine the red mist decending when all the media report us as the reason less than 10k soccer fans attend a major final

How much bile is there in that little gem If you ask me this is the real reason for all the bitterness from latics fans. Not maurice lindsay or some other made up reason for the start of the feud as they claim, but the fact that soccer is the global game, yet ONLY in wigan it has to play second fiddle to RL. Soccer fans living in wigan HATE this fact as they desperately crave their town to be like the rest of the world.

Thankfully wigan is the oasis in the barren football desert, a fact that actually serves to show the wigan public are educated and excersise free will in their choice of sport, rather than being hearded sheep like the rest of the world, blinkered by the hype the media places in the game, to follow the boring game they are told to follow.
