If you ever needed confirmation that the Premier League transfer market has gone mad, here it is.
He was like a cart horse when we had him on loan, has he improved that much to warrant such a fee???

As far as I’m aware, Maguire can leave Hull for nothing, as his contract is up.
I may be wrong, but I’m sure it is.

As if you’d pay 17 million. You’d be better off signing John Terry for free and paying him 80 grand a week.

I can’t even remember him playing for us.

On loan in Malkys side Snow Mon.
He was just a big lump really. If it was today’s news that we had signed him on a free then I would probably be saying that, that isn’t a bad signing but who would we drop to play him.

United selling Pogba for 6mill then buying him back for over 80mill, Chelsea selling Lukaku and now wanting to bring him back for the thick end of 100mill tells you it isn’t mad but insane. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

Neither did I until I saw his photo.

We’re forgiven though. Those were the most forgettable of times. Yes last season was awful, but in 2014-15 the good name of the club was being hauled through the mud.

i think some of you are letting time cloud your judgement a bit – Harry Maguire was one of the few bright spots that season & performed really well during his time here. Maybe not £17mill well, but good nonetheless.

At the time he’d been frozen out of the picture following his move from Sheff Utd & there were plenty wondering whether Latics may even be able to keep him.

I’ve seen absolutely nowt of him since his time at Latics but I have heard numerous pundits on talksport last season banging on about how good he was

            Agreed 100%

McGuire and Kim Bo-Kyung were the stand-out players of that season.

Glad it’s not just me thought he was good.
