we are now the lowest scorers in all the football league, take the positives out of that :(
Of course he’s going to take positives out of it. If he just took negatives out of it, the team would perform even worse that they are doing – or do you not get that?
I don’t know what you do for a job, but how would you perform if your boss criticised at every opportunity in public?

In all fairness Mr Walker, he may not have a job (he may be retired) – joined the ‘board’ same time as most of us in 2009 – felt he had something to say.
If, as his username suggests, his name is Wilf – then he is of an ‘age’ and probably hails from Poolstock…..back in the day.
If my ‘assumptions’ are correct then ‘he’s seen a bit’
hello micky, good observation, i am at an “age” i am retired and i have been around, and seen a bit. i come from springfield, within a delap throw from our old ground. i’ve been watching latics since i was a small boy, and i will still be watching them till i expire. i have seen us rise from the lancs combination to where we are now, so i’ve been round the block a few times. i know it dosen’t make me a know all about football just because i’ve been watching them for donkeys years, but i don’t like what i’m seeing now. we have always played with 2 up front , but our manager in his wisdom chooses not to. only the top teams can play 1 up front. this style of play we have is not working, everyone can see it, except the manager. in my opinion we are going down, no question about that. in all the years i’ve been watching us, since martinez has been in charge, i’ve had the stuffing knocked out of me. make no mistake, we’ve had some bad times in the past, but we managed to ride the storm, but not this time i’m afraid. the frightening thing as well is, should we get relegated, this man will still be in charge. when he was appointed as manager, we all wanted him to be a success, one of us leading us on to better things, but it’s not to be. most of us would think more of him if he turned round and said ” it’s not working we will try something else” i would rather see us go down fighting than going with a whimper as we are now. :(
