1 February 2011 at 12:55 pm #57687one last thing -looking at photos of this guy it seems he has a ‘mullet’ like griffs.
I wish.
Anyway, that’s a bit hairist
1 February 2011 at 1:31 pm #57693For what its worth, he has been banging the goals in for Killy in the SPL, took the team to top 4 and has been a talisman. Whether he can hack it down here is debatable, but he will be a good signing if he gets a run.
1 February 2011 at 1:37 pm #57694Edinburgh, I’ve read a couple of quotes saying he has a bit of pace? Is this right?
At 6ft 2 you would think he is a bit of a target man – does he play like that or does he play off someone at Killie?
Just wondering where he is going to fit into our system. Coming on for Hugo or could Bobby bring him in as an impact player alongside Hugo?
1 February 2011 at 1:46 pm #57697A mate of mine from Scotland who watches Scottish football on a regular basis said that in his opinion he thought he was a Championship player at best ! Only his opinion mind but there you go ! Time will tell us, I hope he can do the business for us !
1 February 2011 at 1:59 pm #57703Let’s be honest the vast majority of SPL players are Championship level.
But you never know, it looks like he’s a late developer so he might improve just enough to stand a chance. He’ll give us something different anyway as he looks like a big strong lad. Could be handy at set pieces
1 February 2011 at 2:14 pm #57708thought he was 5ft 10 not 6ft 2 ?
1 February 2011 at 2:25 pm #57711Looks taller than 5ft 10. I’ve seen a YouTube clip of him.
The Kilmarnock website says 5ft 10 but Wikipedia says 6ft 1. I read he was 6ft 2 somewhere and from what I’ve seen that looks about right.
1 February 2011 at 2:38 pm #57712from what ive seen looks bout 6ft
good goal against celtic on utube as for pace im not sure

Not got huge amounts of pace, but has stamina. Definately a striker not a winger come striker in the hugo mould, or at least as bob likes to play him.
1 February 2011 at 6:21 pm #57724Guy on TalkSport said he has been impressed with Salmon, tall and strong striker who knows where the net is. Says he has pace and said he was a cross between Andy Carrol and John Hartson. He was also tracked by both Celtic and Rangers. He also said he singled handedly ripped apart Rangers and scored a couple against them.
Looking forward to seeing him.

Maybe his size varies depending upon how long he’s been in the river.
1 February 2011 at 7:23 pm #57730colleague of mine (exiled jock) and Celtic fan watches as much sunday football as possible and he was very complimentry, strong, fast, entertaining, skillful, etc. He hadn’t heard and was a bit dissappointed because celtic had been rumoured to be in for him. Not the premier league but may be he has it and if not, at least we haven’t blown £6m.
