For what its worth, he has been banging the goals in for Killy in the SPL, took the team to top 4 and has been a talisman. Whether he can hack it down here is debatable, but he will be a good signing if he gets a run.
A mate of mine from Scotland who watches Scottish football on a regular basis said that in his opinion he thought he was a Championship player at best ! Only his opinion mind but there you go ! Time will tell us, I hope he can do the business for us !
Let’s be honest the vast majority of SPL players are Championship level.
But you never know, it looks like he’s a late developer so he might improve just enough to stand a chance. He’ll give us something different anyway as he looks like a big strong lad. Could be handy at set pieces

They said the same about McCarthey and Charlie Adam.
Guy on TalkSport said he has been impressed with Salmon, tall and strong striker who knows where the net is. Says he has pace and said he was a cross between Andy Carrol and John Hartson. He was also tracked by both Celtic and Rangers. He also said he singled handedly ripped apart Rangers and scored a couple against them.
colleague of mine (exiled jock) and Celtic fan watches as much sunday football as possible and he was very complimentry, strong, fast, entertaining, skillful, etc. He hadn’t heard and was a bit dissappointed because celtic had been rumoured to be in for him. Not the premier league but may be he has it and if not, at least we haven’t blown £6m.
