Then again, what does he know? We should be 5 clear at the top of the table.
21 March 2019 at 4:46 pm #177510Only 5? Bloody rubbish wiggin!
21 March 2019 at 6:56 pm #177511Gullible or what !!!…What do expect him to say ?? Publicly criticize Cook at such an important phase of the season. Christ some folk really are numb. Wonder what our goals are next season ? 20th ?…That’ll put bums on seats . Cook has fortunately clung on to his position for whatever reasons the owners may have.Wonder if they dump him in the summer would that be a reward for achieving all our targets. Should have been removed in January…end of.
21 March 2019 at 7:05 pm #177512You’re a strange one Mr Brownbill. I’ve never known an alleged supporter to be so angry at someone sticking up for the club they are supposed to support. It seems you just want people to criticise.
21 March 2019 at 7:27 pm #177513So at the start of the season then brownbiz, what was our aim this season in your opinion? Realistically.
21 March 2019 at 7:47 pm #177514And for the halfwit wondering why Blackburn have had a better run than us by a few points this season this could be why.
21 March 2019 at 10:29 pm #177520I think you’ve got some ambition for us Mr Brownbill and don’t lose that as if big Dave didn’t have ambition he wouldn’t have made his millions and we wouldn’t have the amazing memories we have. However, our budget is a little bit less now so we’ll have to take a different road back to the top.
Now get yer arse back on the bench super sub!
22 March 2019 at 1:27 am #177526Realistic target with our squad ? Comfortable mid table….17 aways 3 points.!!! Really ..was that included in your expectations??… Key players,Massey,Grigg,Powell return from injury(a regular excuse for underperforming according to Barn door and fat arse)…only to sit on the bench.Negative tactics and don’t start on signings…..
22 March 2019 at 1:48 am #177527More optimistic than me. I expected us to struggle like f***
22 March 2019 at 2:10 am #177530So if the target had been slightly lower ie ‘not to finish bottom’ then that would be a successful season because we had met our target even if we were relegated?
So what for next year continue with a target set low or progress? Maybe give fans an idea what the season is going to be about in advance which could either higher or lower expectations.
You guys should all reach some compromise as this continued bickering and name calling is getting crazy considering you all support the same club.22 March 2019 at 2:50 am #177533Realistic target with our squad ? In the last year our turnover was 6.7 million pounds. Surely that wasn’t the budget of a mid table Championship side?
22 March 2019 at 10:57 am #177539For the next couple of seasons who knows there may be a bigger budget available if the owners invest in their new toy. Nob End with very little investment have pushed on since their promotion back to the Championship and likewise Sheffield Utd are competing really well.
We were first promoted back to the Championship but messed up badly with possibly a bigger budget than those clubs with the last of our parachute payments but bounced back again but in a state of limbo really with an elongated takeover. The new owners must have worked out some sort of plan having taken that long to complete their business. We are probably bang on course for them as they would need to see some sort of stability in our league level before pushing on.
Its been a pretty uninspiring season for most fans whatever glasses are worn but as long as we stay up this season we can just hope for better next.22 March 2019 at 3:19 pm #177545For the next couple of seasons who knows there may be a bigger budget available if the owners invest in their new toy. 22 March 2019 at 5:43 pm #177551Realistic target with our squad ? Comfortable mid table….17 aways 3 points.!!! Let me remind you once again. Realistic target was SURVIVAL for this season. No arguments! Then next season, the goal was to push on & aim for higher.
At the start of this season, I would have said we were on course for a mid – top half table finish. Then, bang! Injuries came along. Lose 1 or 2 & you can usually get by. Lose the amount of players we did (& the injuries happened to ALL our key attackers) & it kind of upsets the applecart, the balance, structure, playing style of the team & the players brought in who perhaps aren’t as good as the starting 11. Cookie went from nice attacking football to I admit, Warren Joyce kind of football.
Now however, players are returning from injury & have been back for what, 3 – 4 games now. They will have no doubt improved their match fitness game by game, so with 8 games remaining, we might just have got them back at the right time.
However, as we now find ourselves towards the bottom, that little bit of added pressure probably affects the players at times, knowing one mistake can be apocalyptic. Now is the time for the players & cookie to get our full support, including yourself Mr Brownbill.
