We have offerd 3.7mil for ali and coyles refused it again, saying they know what we want so if they come back with 4 perhaps we can do buisness
20 June 2011 at 11:08 pm #67976Its not Coyle saying that, its that fat get Gartside.
20 June 2011 at 11:17 pm #67977the interview is with him in bolton inbred news
21 June 2011 at 2:45 am #67990FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
21 June 2011 at 12:41 pm #67996£4m is taking the p!ss, though. Still, if we want him…

4 million is a fine price for a goalie as good as ali. If craig gorden is worth 9 mil and ben foster is worth 6 then ali must be worth about 20!

Just because other clubs throw away good money after bad doesn’t mean we should. Whelan is right to haggle. If we eventually pay £4m fine, but no harm to try.

true but i just think that 4 million for a quality goal keeper isn’t really a rip off by todays standards and i dont feel we would be getting shafted by paying that much

true but it will really annoy me if another club sneaks in and gets him because it took us so long to realise that only 4 mil will do. Time will tell i suppose i really want this signing rapped up soon
21 June 2011 at 2:32 pm #68006Makes no odds. If we have to bid £4m to get him – which we will – if anyone else bids £4m it becomes a straight choice for Ali between us and the other club.
But if the other club wanted him, why would they wait until the price reached £4m before bidding?
21 June 2011 at 4:05 pm #68012i don’t think any club, anywhere would pay £4mill for either Jussi Jaskelinen or their no. 2 keeper (Bogdan is it??) in the current market & at the current point of their careers
So why the feck do Bolton Wanderers think that their 3rd choice keeper is worth £4mill????? I don’t think any club where he’s likely to be first choice will pay that amount for him. At a push Villa look like the’re in the market for a keeper but if they’re prepared to pay that amount for him then let em
As good as Al habsi was last season, what Bolton are doing is taking the pish. Find me any other club who rate their 3rd choice keeper at £4mill in the transfer market
If Latics have £3-£4mill to spend on a keeper then I’m sure there are other keepers out there in the big wide world who would offer better value for money than Bolton are offering Al Habsi for
21 June 2011 at 4:06 pm #68013maybe because habsi wants to move to wigan
other clubs know that
but if another club come’s in with right offer its then down to wages oh and regular games
but if its wages there will only be one winner, and it wont be us21 June 2011 at 4:17 pm #68017Anonymous
4 million for al habsi is a good deal he is easily worth it
21 June 2011 at 5:35 pm #68023I know you shouldnt beleive everything you read in the papers but 2wks ago there was talk of shay given leaving cith for 3.5mil,so where coyle gets this valuation from i dont know, perhaps its because elmander made him look a door handle by doing one on a free
