I have not gone today, after so many dismal performances I decided today would be better spent at home.
I listened to the team selection today from the crank on the radio (wish fm) and I was very impressed. Martinez has for once used some sense and thrown some players with a point to prove rather than the rubbish that get picked week in week out.
I hope we hang on today at Hull and that some of the lads thrown in today get to have a run in the team as what’s there is not working as it showed with the rubbish we had to sit through at Bolton and at home to Newcastle.
Anyway, Martinez has to be given credit for making changes as I thought this was something he had forgotten about.
I have not seen any of the game yet so can’t judge how we are playing and I cannot sit through that crank on the radio as he us the most annoying man I have ever listened to. Is it Griff or Standish Stalker???? Neil Rimmer seems to have a decent input when the crank does not stop him dead and talk about Charlie boy or the boy Caldwell.
Anyway, enough praise from me.
Even if we lose I think Martinez has done the right thing today.

But you’re right about the rugby mon commentating.
Surprised you haven’t made some sarcy comment about them having found their level at last. Still, I’m sure Martinez will rest easy knowing that he’s not a Spanish c***, at least for one day.
8 January 2011 at 7:56 pm #54986I can’t make the “found their level” as I think we have a premiership side, just don’t play to our strengths and don’t have fight under Martinez.
Anyway, good win, good team selection today. Maybe if I stop going they will be ok. I must be a jinx.
I hope Martinez learns and keeps faith with some of these players as they appear to have more to offer.
It’s not the win that is pleasing, just the fact we changed something and did something different after the rubbish of the last 2 weeks.
8 January 2011 at 8:08 pm #54987Didnt see that coming today, with injuries etc and our recent cup pedigree. Very pleasing result and young Macca starring. I can enjoy the weekend for a change well done boys.

8 January 2011 at 9:34 pm #54989An important skill for a job on the radio is the ability to speak …………. unless you work on wish fm. Cant understand the clown

I tried to listen to the WISH commentary with the sound down, but it doesn’t really work like that, does it?

Au contraire Loudmouth, he sounds Jack Shyte like me, or any members of my immediate family.9 January 2011 at 11:58 am #55017When I saw the starting XI I thought we had a slight chance, but fully expected us to go out when I saw the bench.
Lopez played well and looks comfortable on the ball.
McArthur, De Ridder (bar the opening 10 mins or so) and McManaman were superb. An all round good performance tbh and some good experience for the young lads.9 January 2011 at 12:48 pm #55020for christs sake listen to you all -this fellow doing the commentary on wish fm sounds like any wiganerquote]
