The last England game shown on free TV was the epic Ashes series in 2005. 14 years later, that game today topped anything I’ve seen on a cricket field in terms of pure drama.
Fantastic game – immensely proud of the English team who have finally won the world cup.
If you weren’t sucked in by the drama of that yesterday then sport probably isn’t for you. It had absolutely everything.
It feels like a bit of a hollow victory sadly with the fact the scores were actually tied and the beleif that we stole a run so it will always have somewhat of an asterix next to it with other countries.
Now to go on and win the ashes.
