For months there have been many reports regarding the financial position of Aston Villa and also we are lead to believe that the Latics finances are in good order through some good management by the board.
Yet we still here reports linking big Dan with a move to Aston Villa. Presumnably this will involve a decent transfer fee to Latics and an higher salary to Dan.
In the real world this would sound ridiculous but again this is the football world but it probably demonstrates why our finances are quite healthy and why Aston Villas are in such a state.
Let us all hope this is all paper talk and Dan stays with us, but who knows what will happen.Burn is in the final year of his contract. I hope the club do everything to offer him a new contract.

They’ve sunk to an all time low that only a billionaire wanting to lose half his wealth overnight would invest in them.
