Yes that’s how they described it on TV. I don’t know if you were lucky enough to get a ticket or not but TV footages showed it was a shirt pull and not a marginal but definite penalty. What’s the problem watching on TV with the other 6500 regulars.

I wouldn’t class myself as ‘lucky’ to get a ticket.
Of course I got a ticket. I wanted one, so I got one, like most could do quite simply if they wanted without moaning.
I just told you I watched on the box with the other 6500 regulars. So what is your point about watching on the box and watching live if you could get tickets.
How many brownie point do you want?
You are a better fan than us 6500?
We can’t have opinions because we watched on the box?

What on earth are you rambling on about?
I don’t want any brownie points and I certainly didn’t claim to be ‘better’ than anyone (Apart from those who started supporting us in prem days, and seemingly don’t anymore, I actually AM better than them :P )
Of course you can have opinions, moreso than people who went in a way, as you see detail there and then…
Do I frown upon people not going? Course not… I just enjoy it, but we lost 4-0, and we was highly likely due to lose by a heavy score, why the f**k would I think everyone should go or even actually be bothered?!
Only thing I don’t like is people complaining or saying they can’t get tickets when it wasn’t exactly rocket science, simple enough to get if you wanted.
Ok then Jammy, what the hell are you ranting about? This post was about a penalty Latics should have had that was described as marginal on TV. You asked the question about whether I went or not. God knows what that has to do with the penalty. I haven’t moaned at all about not having a ticket. There are for more Supporters who would have been far more deserving of a ticket than me. Many fans missed out who would have liked to have gone and if they wanted to moan that’s up to them.
I have no idea what this conversation is about, but if I was listening to it in the pub I’d probably walk off to the ground earlier than usual.
But before I ambled off I’d just say ….. yes, the reffing was poor and very biased. Felaini should have got 2 yellows … therefore a red, Rooney should have got a card and I think someone else should’ve done. Yup I agree a penalty would’ve been fair.

Except it wasn’t at all that easy.
I tried online and on the phone that morning, and except for the fact that I then had things to do that afternoon which meant I couldn’t hang on all day trying, and am retired so am lucky enough to be able to get in my car and get to the ground, I wouldn’t have got a ticket.
My son and his mate (season ticket holders I add) wouldn’t have been able to leave work to go and queue up, so wouldn’t have got tickets.
There are a lot of people who work or live a distance away or are unable to travel for one reason or another who in the end didn’t get a ticket.
Yes, I was lucky. But to say “it was simple enough to get if you wanted” is frankly crass stupidity, bordering on “winding up”.
Fellini got away with two bookable offences before he scored, one pulling the shirt off Morsey’s back when he ghosted past him[ exactly the same offence what Burn got booked for] and another for a blatant trip on one of our players. He was niggling all the game.
It is really hard pill to swallow that Utd. didn’t get one booking, I saw Rooney charge to the ref when he thought he’d been fouled, right in his face waving his arms. Not so much as a warning for him, the ref just ran away.
Its so obvious its laughable, I bet the BBC pundits didn’t pick up on it either.
I’m surprised people are surprised. After the incident involving Scholes a few seasons ago the ‘media’, in the guise of Alvin Martin, came out with a classic. ‘I’m glad he wasn’t sent of, it would have spoiled the game!’
