Anyone know how he got on at Football Manager this weekend?
20 January 2020 at 1:10 pm #184194I don’t think the penny has dropped with Darren Royle that as we slumber into relegation, his position and credibility becomes untenable. Its very noble to stand by your manager for so long but now its got to be him or Cook to save his skin.
Season ticket sales could slump dramatically next season as a lot of fans won’t forgive watching us go down without a fight, and once those fans have gone, it’ll be very very hard to get them back. But then again, would we be bothered, or even notice the difference when Darren Royle goes?
20 January 2020 at 1:58 pm #184195I suspect that a decision like that wouldn’t be down to Darren Royle but would be down to the owners.
20 January 2020 at 2:18 pm #184197How it pains me I have to agree with Stu. The Royles are no more than a puppet for the string pulling owners.
But then again I’m sure their lack of knowledge with UK football Darren Royle will have been asked for his opinion. The longer we stick with Cook then I’m afraid were going down. The perfect time would have been the beginning of December.
Then a new manager would have had time to assess his squad then address accordingly in the January window.
Me?, get him out faster than sh1t off a shovel and get Warnock in on a 6 month rolling contract. These players need man management not a manager who spends more time arguing with the 3rd official.20 January 2020 at 2:45 pm #184199Anyone know how he got on at Football Manager this weekend?I heard he guided Wigan to the Champions League Final beating Bayern Munich on penalties. A great achievement in only his 3rd season in charge.

He was later sacked though after fans called for his head for only winning on penalties
