Suprised this fella ain’t getting more of a look in. When he has played (albeit limited), he has looked like he has something about him.

I know a bloke who has been in and around the Wolves dressing room the last two seasons and he says he was really rated in the Wolves dressing room, and the only reason he left was down to Wolves not being able to meet his wage demands.

The point of having players competing for places is that if someone has a bad game or number of bad games then they lose their place. This just does not seem to happen at Wigan early enough.

Hendry Thomas was found out eventually but i find a weakness of Martinez is not being ruthless enough in this area and i can only guess that he tries to keep a core of players who will get use to playing together.

I know Gomez is a big issue on the boards at the moment and he’s not the only one who people feel has had more than his fair share of chances in the side. Its unusual that Gomez was dropped last season for not being consistent enough but in being given a second chance i do not think he has shown enough to keep his place when there are new players to be tried and tested.
