Having achieved the impossible…
I think we can do Birmingham and West Ham at home and, realistically but not nailed on, Blackpool and Villa away.
Despite the copious amount of booze I have drunk today, I think the above is achievable and survival with it. 38 will probably be enough.
So, bear this in mind you nay sayers, when we (perhaps) go 0 from 9 in the next three games.
And now, I’m off for a much needed lie down.
6 February 2011 at 12:19 pm #58465Who would have predicted a Wolves win over Utd, or us to win at Spurs?
If the players play with enough passion and want it then there’s no reason why we can’t pick some unexpected points up and survive.

Calm yourselves down, Jesus! False economy.
Liverpool, United, and Ciie up next.
Then the ‘easy’ Birmingham game. (a chance, granted)
Followed by the ‘nemesis’ month of April. :o
Plus, Brum’s games in hand.
Your optimism, however, deserves

6 February 2011 at 3:10 pm #58494I think we just need to worry about our own team, and despite yestrerdays welcome victory, I cannot see the points coming in that will save us.
I can see us being cast adrift in the next few weeks. With international breaks, April comes around quicker than you’d think.
I just see the games coming up and I very much doubt we’ll stay up.
Not being negative, just saying how I see it.

Ok, I’ll talk wet like a lot of others on here.
We’ll go on a ten game unbeaten run, shoot up the league like Haley’s comet, and with 2 games left, we’ll be on the verge of a Europa League place.
Martinez will receive the freedom of Wigan, and Whelan will be featured on TV, telling everybody how European football is our target, and that “The ideal draw would be against a Portuguese club….because it’s Geographically the nearest place to Barbados”.It’s amazing the effect ONE win in god knows how long, can have on people. Look elsewhere, and you’ll see I’ve given praise. But remember the old adagé……
“One swallow doesn’t make a summer”.

6 February 2011 at 4:18 pm #58520Think he must be one of the newcomers who have not seen what Wigan Athletic have come from and expect us to be top of the Prem!!!!
6 February 2011 at 4:22 pm #58522 AnonymousNey
Just the resident loon ball
6 February 2011 at 4:31 pm #58525Griff, we will beat Sunderland at the Stadium Of S h i t e !!
6 February 2011 at 4:47 pm #58529Clearly not, Phil. According to our resident genius Dave, I am talking wet. And do must you be.
Because there was no way we were ever going to get 26 points, let alone with a dozen or so games to go
6 February 2011 at 4:48 pm #58530Dave, any chance you could call Landgate a pr!ck again and get yourself banned and do us all a favour?
