Just gone to Russia on loan. Can’t help thinking we have missed out there with a loan to spare. I know he is a fancy Dan and a bit of a poor man’s Beckham but he was superb at Blackburn playing up the middle supporting the strikers. Would have given the two James’ serious competition. Hopefully McCathy can stay fully focused for the whole season this time around because his form dipped for a while last term.

I’m led to believe he his a hand full in the dressing room ,from an ex player ,David that is.

Unfortunately Yosser, I think the old wage issue might come into it again. I’m sure he’s on a ridiculous amount of money at Spurs.

He has a really bad attitude by all accounts.

And anyway, let’s give Ryo a fair chance to impress, eh? Looks a very handy and lively player.

how can you judge him on just a cameo appearence?thats s a silly statement. i will be on the fence till i ve seen him play a few full 90mins. no doubt the boo boys will sonn be on his case if he dosent perform miricals. thats the trouble with some so called fans, always qiuck to ruin someone. teale, gomez, thomas even bullard came in for it.we must get behind all our players if we want them to be at their best.right?

Why is it a silly statement? No, I KNOW Ryo is a good player, because:

          1. His parent club is Arsenal. Arsene Wenger tends to know a good player when he sees one. I will trust his judgement.

          2. I have eyes. He came on as sub, and I could see with MY EYES that he obviously has some talent and ability to run at the opposition. Had we put him on sooner, I think we would have won the game.

          3. After witnessing the likes of Stuart Whittaker and Pat Gavin in the past, I know what IS a good player and what isn’t.

So no, it wasn’t a silly statement. It was actually a measured assessment from the above factors. In 30 years of watching football, you tend to know who is a good player and who isn’t. Ryo is definitely a very good addition.

            Agree with this.

Very highly thought of at Arsenal. I know a certain section of their supporters were even questioning Wenger’s decision to loan him out again – they wanted to see him given his chance in their first team.

Anyway, seems to be very lively & dangerous when running at the opposition defence.
Adds a different dimension with his pace & willingness to take on a few players.
Could even have a “mirical” or two up his sleeve.. who knows ;)

Looks to me to be a faster version of Moses who can also knock a ball in to the box.

If he had Moses strength and could bag a few goals then he really would be a handfull.

is that so, whoopee do then. well done on that.

is that so, would you include schamak(sp),arshavin(sp) and his list of dodgy keepers in that lot?

I’m sure you told someone to “grow up” in another topic..?

In response to your second point – yes, Arshavin is a quality player with a poor attitude.
Chamakh was highly sought after when he was at Bordeaux, looked unreal in France. Why would Wenger not sign him up on a FREE transfer?
Not adapted well to the prem, but that’s the risk you take.

Saying that, every manager makes 1 or 2 poor signings from time to time.
Fergie’s signed his fair share of shockers – still a class manager who gets it right 95% of the time.
No way you can say Wenger, a manager who put a team together that went a FULL season unbeaten, doesn’t know a good player when he sees one?
