Never been a big fan of the Bolton captain but watched him on numerous times last night geeing and cajoling his players while our captain was mostly silent (again) and just seemed too stroke his pony tail thought we had seen the last of him a few games ago never a leader of men in a million years :roll:
I do not like Melchiot as a player, and I do not like him as our captain. Never seen him shout, clap his hands together, or do anything. May as well have a ‘mute’ as captain.
I cannot believe Boyce was dropped for him. Scandalous.
Can Melchiot actually kick a ball FORWARD? Because every time he got it, he seemed to go sideways to Caldwell.

Totally disagree with that VAT, Melchiot was a threat last night. He combines well with N’Zogbia and he came inside beating Taylor about 5 times. He also did some great clearances from Bolton corners. I agree with the fact that he doesnt seem to be a vocal captain but last night he played well in my view. However, i don’t think Boyce did anything with his run in the team and was abit confused when i saw Melchiot leading the team out.

I agree,give caldwell the armband looks like he’s the type that would give a good b@llock1ng when players are not with the script. I think Caldwell is our unofficial captain. Boyce is ok no more but anyone saying he didnt do anything wrong against Stoke obviously missed the goal when Boyce left Tuncay to score a free header.
