Agree a really good window. I expected to lose the likes of McCarthy, Rodallega and even Alcaraz.
OK we’ve lost Zog, but in Moses I’m sure we have an all-round better player who can fill his shoes this year.
My concern was left back even though Fig has show some of his old form this season. Was slated for his passing from some on here but I thought he was back to his old self during spells of the opening 3 games. Nevertheless we now have young blood completing for that spot now in Chelsea loanee PVA. The midfield his fairly well covered with the Maccas, Diame, Watson, Jones and the much improving Gomez who will play a big part this season if used as he was on Saturday in the free roaming role / hole just off the front man. He will create loads of goals if he’s allowed to make that role is own. If things get tough then HT comes in for a bit of shake em up time.
The newly acquired wide men will allow Rodallega to push into the CF spot and will be supported when needed, by Franco and the fish. You might see two of the three playing in some games as we go out to get goals especially if we go behind.

The back four are OK, not world beaters, but with van Aanholt there is competition in all positions. I quite like Piscu and Gary Caldwell is a rough diamond in my opinion. Great leader, 120% effort with the chance of making the odd mistake, but so does JT.
Boycie is solid at RB, Centre half and Left back, Gohuori can do a job at RB and CH but I prefer him at RB. Ronnie Stam won’t let you down at RB or RH. and Piscu has the temperament to do a similar job as Antolin.
The Keepers, are the best 3 we’ve had at the club for a long while.
Finally in the manager we have the master tactician. With rough yeds around him like Jonsey and Barrow he brings that little touch of class that is seeing us play his way and now beginning to get results. unbeaten in 7.

Well done Bobby and big Dave, a very productive and team settling window, that I’m sure unlike our very own PJ said when at the helm, you’ve not felt like putting a brick through it!!
