Pity, but it’s the nature of the beast, I guess.
I presume both want international football, and they aren’t going to get that by playing in the 3rd division.
Same goes for McClean and possibly Bong.

You get third division players. Anybody who is/is perceived to be better than that standard will want to play at a higher level and will get paid more. That’s how it works.
