I’m surprised and disappointed that they haven’t retained Kwist and Kim, unless neither wanted to stay, of course. Will be amazed to see Pennant, Holt, Riera and Delort lining up on the first day of the season.

Will be amazed to see Pennant, Holt, Riera and Delort lining up on the first day of the season.I am sure it is the case that neith Kim or Kvist wanted to stay. Pity, but it’s the nature of the beast, I guess.
18 May 2015 at 8:07 pm #142310I presume both want international football, and they aren’t going to get that by playing in the 3rd division.
Same goes for McClean and possibly Bong.
18 May 2015 at 9:30 pm #142311Could it possibly the power of the agents who will be pushing to get these lads better deals than what we could offer. I.e. money.

We are third division, now. You get third division players. Anybody who is/is perceived to be better than that standard will want to play at a higher level and will get paid more. That’s how it works.

“WIGAN Athletic suffered their first bloody nose of the off-season after failing to secure the services of South Korean international Kim Bo-Kyung.
The 25-year-old’s expected departure was confirmed yesterday after a short but sweet three-month stay at the DW Stadium.
Latics were very much open to the possibility of keeping hold of the playmaker to aid their attempts to get out of League One at the first attempt next term
But it’s understood the figures being bandied around by the player’s representatives made any efforts to broker a deal impossible.
Latics were also keen to keep hold of Cameroon internationmal left-back Gaetan Bong on a permanent basis, but he looks set to exercise his options as a free agent and move on”
19 May 2015 at 5:15 pm #142319Kim Bo is off to pair up with Malky again at Buckie Thistle
19 May 2015 at 5:33 pm #142320Have a look at Boycey’s twitter from yesterday.
His comment to Juliette Ferrington, when she quotes he’s been offered a contract, along with Pennant is “Ha yea right”

£100,000 a week when you’ve achieved nothing isn’t enough.
At least he’s not a money grabber, apparently.
