Not sure of your problem here. He is merely stating facts. If Liverpool had killed 39 Latics fans I wouldn’t sign for em either and would make it clear why!
Correct decision and true. Del piero, being the juve icon he is, couldn’t possibly move to LFC. To be honest, if the club who were involved in the deaths of your clubs fans wanted to sign you, I’d tell them to friggin do one sharpish…….are you listening harry (galatasaray) kewell!!!
and please spare me all the nonsense about who’s fault it was, or why the events happened, not interested. no offence!
Interesting that Liverpool say they never made an approach at all. Like Del Piero would just make it up. They claim that quite often when people dont sign for them. Funny that, isn’t it?

Griff, don’t often concur with your views/posts/comments etc. But, you are spot on. LFC, it would appear, can’t accept rejection by certain parties. They try and turn it back onto the player/team and take the moral high ground because they are “LFC” & all that jazz!
A bit of a reality check here to LFC. Your 1 point above WAFC (and we have had our worst start to a prem season)!!!!!!!!!!!! it’s not the 80’s any more (where have i said that before) ;). They have disregarded progression by ignorance. Thinking because they are “LFC”, all they have to do is turn up and they will be in the top 3 automatically, because they have “won it 5 times” zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
LFC will NOT win the premier league! unless they get a city/chelsea style crazy billionaire who has an obsession with throwing cash at his team in order to be number 1. And even if they get one of these money men, why go to liverpool when it’s already set up at the etihad & stamford bridge!
Sorry LFC, but your going backwards, and will continue to do so unless their supporters lower their expectations and get real….not that i’m arsed about any of the big clubs who think they can bully/take the p*ss out of my town team!

Didn’t realise Sir Dave was on here. Alright Dave, thanks for keep Roberto at the club pal and for everything else.
I heard Blackburn made him an approach about a year ago too, the same time they were linked with high profile moves for Ronaldinho, etc.
And whilst I agree that LFC fans were largely to blame for what happened at Hysel, I also clearly recall plenty of Juventus hooligans in that stadium that night, one of whom was clearly seen brandishing a PISTOL. I’ve read Brian Reade’s “43 years with the same bird” book, about his lifetime support of Liverpool, and whilst he openly admits that Liverpool fans were largely to blame, he also highlights the fact the stadium was dilapidated and not fit to host such a fixture, plus the fact that ticketing checks were basically non existant, with people walking past the single bloke sat at a table and brandishing all kinds of cards, including one from a strip club, in order to enter the ground. It was an absolute joke of bad organisation.
And the 39 who died were NOT all Italian. Most were, though a couple were Belgian, and one was an Irishman, called Patrick Ratcliffe. Of the Juventus fans, there was an 11 year old boy who died along with his father.
I’m pretty certain of which factors were to blame for the incident that led to the loss of life at Heysel & as with Hillsborough it was a combination with some bigger contributors than others
but
At the end of the day, a big chunk of the Juventus support blame the Liverpool fans. With Del Piero being worshipped as a God by them it’s hardly surprising that he turned Liverpool down. If there were rumours of the approach amongst Juventus supporters & then talk that he turned it down coz they didn’t offer him enough money then that may have been the reason he went public with it
