Let’s be honest, the country has gone daft for holidays and time off. The snow after Christmas showed that, when a load of people basically ‘took the Mick’ in order to extend their new year holidays.

Is this also not a ploy by the Liverpool Authorities to get another days takings from all the people who would be out in the City that day? No doubt they’d put on music and stuff in the centre, and the bars would do a roaring trade. This last year has been absolutely rank for bars, etc, so perhaps it’s an excuse to recoup?
