Derbies

Mersey Derby this weekend got me thinking, Latics must have had more Derby games than most clubs due to the fact of us playing in all 5 main leagues. Also the fact that the North West has more than its fair share of clubs in the league and at non-league level. How many Derby games has this club played? Firstly what criteria constitutes a Derby? Norwich/Ipswich and Swansea/Cardiff are 40 odd miles apart.If we stick to just Lancashire bearing in mind Manchester and Liverpool made up the Red Rose county just how many can we remember? As im an owd get who watched us in the old NPL I will name 5 obscure games we have played in either league or cup.Im sure LostockHall and Horc will put in similar input.So how many can we come up with? I will go with

1 South Liverpool
2 Burscough
3 Skem United
4 Great Harwood
5 Rossendale United.

Down to you LHL Horc and everone else.Im sure we must hold some kind of record for this.
