Derby have won 8 of their last 9 games home and away, 7 on the spin until a draw with Huddersfield. this is going to be a real test for us. They have scored more goals than any other team so far so let’s hope our defence can hold out and our strikers can make it third time lucky to nick a win. Surely we can’t play as bad as we did against them last time out?
31 December 2013 at 2:10 am #125436The form their in at the moment’ a draw would be a good result’not many teams will come from the with anything. ;)
31 December 2013 at 2:16 am #125438Interesting one – Derby will expect to tonk us after that debacle in November and I’m sure our players will be up for this one. Most championship teams even those in form have a wobble at some point and I have a sneaky feeling for this one.

31 December 2013 at 2:51 am #125441It will be a good test. We certainly can’t play any worse than we did at home.
We are better organised in defence now but, as all season, we still struggle to score. And it will be even harder if we are without our makeshift forward Powell. We desperately need our forwards to rise to the occasion.

Well, I would never have thought of that.
What are the best tactics for deep, slow flowing rivers?

A win would be wonderful but I don’t think that we should expect too much from the game on Wednesday.
Our problems may be obvious to everybody now, but some posters disagreed strongly with any concern expressed about our difficulty in creating chances and taking them earlier in the season.
What’s your name?

31 December 2013 at 4:29 pm #125465As bad as the home game was, we gifted them all 3 of their goals and would have come away with a point had their keeper not made two class saves.
It will a tough game no doubt, but there is no reason why we can’t come away with a win.
31 December 2013 at 5:07 pm #125467But there are lots of reasons not to expect a win.
Our last two games have both ended as 0-0 draws at home. Our leading scorer – Powell – is not 100% fit, even if he is still here.
Derby are in great form at the moment and have the best goal difference in the league.
However, we can play for a win, and football is not a logical game.
