I see things have got lost in translation here as well, whilst doing an interview for a Magazine….
”The truth about life in Wigan is there is nothing to do,” said Diame.
“It is a crappy place. The town is tiny and there is no atmosphere. I go into training, I return home, and that is all I do.
“When it snowed I felt like it was minus 15, and feared I was going to turn into an ice cube.”
“It is rare to see truly beautiful girls when you go out during the day.
“But it’s a different story when you go out in the evening. The girls seem to cover themselves up all day, only to be in good-looking mode at night.
“In Madrid I had the impression that all the women were beautiful.”
A Wigan spokesman said: “It was intended as a light-hearted interview. It says how happy and settled Mohamed is in England, and is very respectful of the club.”
I’ll go for the beautiful chicks are actually working in the day and come out to play at night :o
I dont believe he has said much wrong here. Compared to madrid, Wigan would seem like a crappy town and as for the women ui couldnt agree more there are some right munters (usually in a worriers top)
Diame clearly doesn’t live in Standish. I always find the comings and goings outside the Co-op as very reminiscent of Paris Fashion Week and the Venice carnival rolled into one. And as for cosmopolitan Aspull…..the ungrateful get doesn’t know how lucky he is.
Mohamed Diame has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Manchester United and Liverpool after blasting Wigan a “crappy place”.
The Frenchman, who arrived from Spanish club Rayo Vallecano two years ago, has risked the wrath of manager Roberto Martinez by slamming the football club and insisting he will re-assess his future in the summer.
I don’t have a favourite team, but there are clubs I’d struggle to refuse if they called me tomorrow,” he told the Mirror. “Clubs for example like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool. It is impossible to say no to sides like them, especially as you know you won’t get a second chance if you turn them down a first time.
“I’m going to stay with Wigan until the end of the season. We have to make sure we stay up. I am not in a hurry. This is my second season in the Premier League, I have a year left on my contract, so let’s see what happens about next season.”
If Real madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool or Man United ever come a calling for Mr Diame then I’ll dress up & go out & about town like one of said King St ladies at a time & date of his choosing
Here is a scenario…
Diame is in Ibiza Bar and he spots one of these beautiful girls he so craves so he approaches her at pace through the crowded dance floor, side stepping and shimmying his way past several fellow pursuers only to fall flat on his face when he reaches her !! :)
