Among the drama of Sunday’s second half come back, I think we’ve all forgotten that not one, but two people won the half time crossbar challenge!
Lucky omen or what?
17 May 2011 at 11:09 pm #65969What’s the crossbar challenge?
17 May 2011 at 11:18 pm #65971Typical ‘grab a pie and a pint in the concourse’ kinda guy you eh Griff?
17 May 2011 at 11:56 pm #65973What’s the crossbar challenge???
Presumably you have to hit the bar. Typical Wigan if we give prizes to be people who manage to miss the goals.
Who were winners, a Senor Boselli and a Senor Di Santo?
18 May 2011 at 12:09 am #65975Half time, ‘Junior Stripes World Famous Crossbar Challenge’ not ring a bell? Martyn Ode’s description, not mine.
In fact, one of the winners must have been in his twenties, towering over the other winner who was about nine. Surely that breaches the description of a ‘junior’?
Thought it was a shame such a momentous occasion didn’t get the media coverage it deserved, every time I’ve been to the DW the ball has gone trickling along the ground, a good six feet below the crossbar…
18 May 2011 at 12:13 am #65976No chance mate, Bosselli and Di Santo would only win the row Z challenge
18 May 2011 at 12:14 am #65978There’s a row Z in the car park?
18 May 2011 at 12:38 am #65989What’s the crossbar challenge? It’s what the bar staffin the concourse face at half time when after watching Wigan let two in, punters are then told there’s no bitter.

there was no bitter in frankies after the game either on sunday – good job really though as i had to rush off and was able to drive.
cant believe people are complaining about there not being any tickets left for stoke when the whole of the robin park area was without bitter on sunday.
jay t on your next meeting with the club management team can you get to the bottom of this ?

Further to this, they also ran out of pies. Lager and hot dogs? Do I look like a teenager?
