That we are playing tomorrow and the season remains in the balance.
Now I know our battle hardened will be off to Reading, and all credit to them but what’s the point.
As exciting as it would be to stay up we simply don’t deserve to and we are better going down.
Better being a third division side playing at its competitive level and forced to change, rather than another season out of our depth and in pain.

      Absolutely !

I would love it, if the Latics pulled of the great escape.
We could re-group and learn from the mistakes of this season.

Plus you could just see the media saying, Blackburn & Birmingham are too big to be relegated, whereas “little Wigan on the other hand ”

      Come on you Tics

Just been into town watching all the Lincoln fans celebrating as we did in scumpool just 12 months ago. A lot of people at this club really need to look at their performances this season. It has been the balls up to end all balls ups. What hurts most is that the Standard has not been the highest and we should have coped in this league without trying. Do we care?, well I fookin well do and most Latics fans will always care. Hell will freeze over before I ever want us to lose a game no matter what the circumstances. C,Mon Wigan YAMS

I gave up caring when Whelan appointed Coyle. We’ve had over a 100 yes 100 players since dropping out the Prem. I seriously wouldn’t know if we had signed certain players or if their here on loan.

Next season will be worse, another huge clear out, more than likely keep Barrow to save money basically a new team again.
Burn Grigg will be gone and don’t be surprised if Bogle pishes off to say Leeds or a Sheff Utd.
After 40 years of watching Latics I’m seriously considering not going next season. I thought I would go till I crocked it but for some reason I no longer feel a affiliation with the club.
It’s abit embarrassing that Burton managed to beat the drop and with no money what so ever and all’s we did was try to stop yourself from drowning.

What we need is to get the right manager in, stop fookin around with all these loan players who basically couldn’t care less. I would sooner have 20 players and a couple of youth lads who are playing for their jobs.
honestly ?, I’m bored with it all am the same crap every year

I believed and cared so much I started my 95 mile cycle ride at 06.45, in the hope I’d see at least a goal, and maybe a win at Reading. Neither! I so much wanted my efforts to be worth while!! Thankfully the head wind meant I was 6 minutes late so I even missed the pain of their goal!!

I don’t blame the players this season, I think most games I’ve been to they’ve tried hard and put a good shift in, I blame all the shocking decisions behind the scenes …… maybe getting rid of Caldwell – could of kept him and got him a sort of mentor assistant – he was too inexperienced. Getting Joycee, and odd +odd plus plus team selections and then that rabbit in the headlights flurry of loans in the the last 10 mins in January …………. and barely 1 of them has played!!! If that is what we have seen imagine what has gone on behind the scenes. Pooooorrr. Sharpie is toooooo young and inexperienced, and he probably thinks he is a lot better than he is.

Do we care? As sure as hell we do.
Don’t mistake acceptance a few weeks ago that we were doomed, barring a miracle, and hence a failure to get over worked up about poor performances with not caring. There was no point. It was just being realistic.
But we are now in a new phase. We start again, with all the passion we can muster.
              Yes, of course we care.

Certainly an interesting summer ahead for us.

I’m looking forward to next season in the hope we can get back to entertaining and attacking….and ultimately WINNING football again. Get the fun factor back and get looking forward to going to games again. Some interesting aways too, such as Bristol Rovers, where I think away fans paid £15 this season. All we have to look at now is who else is coming down with us, as that last place is down to last game.

Well, this season is virtually over, and to be fair, if truth were told, it’s not really been the best of seasons has it?

I’ll will be there against Leeds and will be hoping for win as usual, but at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter now.

Come August and it will a different kettle of fish, and all the fire and passion will be back in my belly and I will be back there screaming the boys along.

I am sure every decent fan will care just as much again in August when we start our quest for the League One title.

Friendlies soon and they do matter. That piss poor pre-season of Gary piss farting around last summer was the start of this miserable negative season. It is imperative that we build up a winning mentality by the time the season starts or it will be more of the same again next season. So many posters just laughed off the pre-season results last summer as unimportant but they were oh so wrong.

Would we have had any more points had we beat Chester or Macclesfield? No. Games mean f*** all.

What did cost us was crap recruitment and messing about with a close knit squad with a winning mentality.

The biggest balls up of the season was appointing Warren Joyce and allowing him to stay as long as he did and yet another total balls up in January.

the finger can only be pointed at two people for the fck ups this season that have happened
                        to our club
i dont blame any manager but i do blame those that made their appointment in the first place as a poor judgment and the selling of yanic was a big fck up..i am expecting some news end of season regarding whelan and the clubs future though ;)

Those who seem happy to want Uwe back & who also believe in the importance of pre-season need to remember what an absolute balls up of the pre-season he made, which culminated in one game having to be cancelled as his fitness regime had em all dropping like flies

In fact so much was wrong with what happened between May 2014 & his sacking in the Autumn that I’m staggered anybody could want him back.

He also hadn’t learnt his lessons coz from speakign with a Leeds fan I work with he was makign the same mistakes there
