      Just done the BBC predictor again – with a very sensible and realistic head on, I think – and it appears my long-held view that there will be a sufficient number of teams perfoming worse/getting worse results than us still prevails. I hope.

      Villa 0-1
      Burnley 1-0
      City 1-3
      Fulham 1-1
      Pompey 2-1
      Arsenal 0-2
      West Ham 1-1 (safe at this point)
      Hull 0-0
      Chelsea 0-5

      Leaves us in 15th place with 37 points, level on points with Sunderland, Bolton and Blackburn but bottom of that little group of 4 on goal difference, surprise, surprise.

      Relegated are Wolves (31), Portsmouth (26, or 17) and Burnley (26).

      Champions are Chelsea (89) with Man U second (86).

      City get 4th spot (68) from Spurs and Villa (both 66).

        I hope you’re right, you’ve chosen to go against our earlier season form then which might make it more likely that we beat Villa, Arsenal and Chelsea, yet lose against those around us.

          It’s just the way I see it. I wouldn’t make a trip to the bookies on the strength of my say so, though :D

                West Ham are looking a bit dodgy in my predictions, a slip-up or two and they could go instead of Hull

                    I’ve been as realistic as possible. It works out that Hull get clear. I expected us to finish in a safe position, as well. But no!

                    Breaking point could be that Easter week when we play City away on the Monday, then Fulham away on the Friday. Could be the time we fall into the mire.

                      Blimey mon, each time I only gave us another 9 points and have us well safe. You must have the rest of the teams performing miracles.
