i genuinely hope we sign a new no1 keeper too replace kirkland so hes our no2 and fk stojkovic off aswell!
and w/e’s cheapest pal
Replace Kirkland? He’s a good keeper apart from the injuries.
We just need a solid back up.[/quote]
Dont think he’s up to standards to be fair. Flaps at crosses and is not overly good at shot-stopping. Would prefer someone better (Obvious statement of the year)
Kirkland’s a great No1 and has kept us in so many games this season with remarkable saves, I can’t see where you’re coming from with these comments at all, he’s fallen victim at times to the – who shall we blame next brigade, only my thoughts of course.

There are better keeper but not many….not one we could afford anyway!
He’s a good shot stopper and has safe hands, he’s also getting better at distributing the ball because he was terrible. I think he’s getting a bit worst on one on ones but he can hardly train with his back problems so I can’t blame him too much.
If we had a load of cash I’d agree with you but on our budget we are lucky to have him. I just think we need a solid back up.
We’re not going to get a better keeper than Kirkland, especially given that next season we’ll have to register 8 homegrown players.
I sincerely hope Stojkovic doesn’t sign a new deal. I was in Rome for the City game and talking to a Serb outside the Colosseum about Vlad’s performance the night before. He told me that Serbs have started watching Wigan because of him, but he’s nowhere near good enough for the Premier League – I think we all can and should take that as gospel.
