I really didn’t want them to equalise. Im sorry but putting 15 mins of effort in at the end of the match is not good enough. I hope Whelan and Martinez are happy with all the wrong decisions that have been made, Decisions which people have been pointing out for two seasons. Goodbye Premiership and good riddance. Let’s get back to where we truly belong. This Premier League malarkey is not for us. It has brought out the worst in our leeching chairman.
I dont care how people respond to this post.
WHELAN AND MARTINEZ OUT!

I can see where you’re coming from. I didn’t celebrate the goal. My thoughts immediately turned to Martinez using it as a ‘positive’, and saying how ‘unlucky’ we had been.
I do think Whelan’s reign has run it’s course. I don’t mean that in a nasty way, but it’s time someone different took things over and gave the club some freshness. It’s gone stagnent.
Martinez? He’s GOT to go. He’d earn a lot of respect if he walked of his own accord, before the fans have to say too much. It’s started tonight, with the ‘you don’t know what you’re doing!’ chant. His substitutions were like-for-like and hardly chasing the game. Why not stick Moses on? Negative in the extreme.26 January 2011 at 1:48 am #56790Hate to say it but i think were down if martinez stays. The man has no emotion and does nothing to inspire the players from the touchline.
Get a manager in who can kick um up the arse

Negative in the extreme.Aw c’mon Vat………please tell me that you’ve not only just noticed this trait. ;) It also forms part of his ‘warm the substitute down’ routine prior to putting a player on (I think I noted 8 minutes once to get someone on).
Give me strength……..

You could say that about some of our so called supporters!

We might be sh7te, but does that mean you shouldn’t support your team or celebrate when they score? If / when we go down, I’ll still be sitting in the same seat supporting my team.
26 January 2011 at 2:07 am #56811Don’t have to be so called fans to realise we do not have to pay to watch that. It is a total waste of money. Whelan doesn’t give us anything in return for our money. He expects us to fork out 20 odd quid every week to watch a league 1 side in the premiership. I think not. Pay to watch that disgrace, i don’t think so.
Now if there was fight in the team and manager and they genuinely tried and fought tooth and nail every week it would be different. If we were being unlucky and just getting beat by better sides then i would go and pay to support it. Im not paying those imposters over inflated wages when im struggling to pay rent myself. Im sorry but they do not deserve it and Whelan should know better considering his upbringing and knowing that the town is on its knees. He expects us to all line his pockets with nothing in return.

No. The goal just papered over the cracks. Ok, we weren’t shocking tonight, but we were never going to win, or take anything.
I find it hard to get excited with this team, even when we score. It just gives ‘Dr Spin’ reasons to find positives, and try and cover up.
In reality, we should’ve lost at least 3-1 tonight. Bent really should’ve scored early on with his first chance. And you might not be sitting in the same seat if you sit in the East stand. Not when Whelan kicks us all back into the South. Or at least the 3,000 who still go next season. Won’t happen? Will it not? He’d cut down the Police bill.
26 January 2011 at 2:29 am #56822We were not that bad tonight.
I do agree though that the people on here whomsay support your team need to support the team. The supporters for the good of the team need to be vocal in getting Martinez out, that would be supporting our team as the best thing for the team and the club is that clown out and someone who can get players to play to their strengths.
We are not Barcelona and not Arsenal, so let’s stop pretending to be.
Graft and fight, we had a bit tonight but would we have more under a proper manager? Probably.
26 January 2011 at 2:31 am #56824As I said, I’ll still be in my (West Stand) seat. If there are only 3000 on, at least it’ll be easy enough to get a pint at half time.

Well, the fans have started tonight. Be interesting to see if Father Jack comes out with any rants about it. First time tonight, I actually shouted “Resign Martinez!”
Not that he’d have heard. Hence the reason I normally don’t bother. But when you go 2-0 down and he swaps a fell back for a full back and an average midfielder for Bubba Gump….it’s hardly trying to make a fight of it.
Some dick near me said “he’s trying to preserve the goal difference” :o  :o
Christ, that’s comment of the season, so far.
26 January 2011 at 2:41 am #56833Nat, most of our players have no strengths. That’s how we get them to sign for us
26 January 2011 at 2:59 am #56857You could say that about some of our so called supporters!I applaud your tenacity and loyalty..
…..like the gent who gave Wallace Hartley a musical request…..then hung around for it to be played.
Is there ‘deja vu’ in the house?
;)
