Just over half a million a year is a he’ll of a lot of money, and compared to the rest of league one clubs it’s extortionate.
All in favour of paying your taxes, especially football clubs but surely this should have been reduced by now? We were relegated from Championship in May 17 and new tax year was April 18 wasn’t it?

When the Chinese arrive in town they won’t be here too long. It’ll feel like old China before they accepted the west.I agree that its a huge chunk of income, and on the face of it appears very unfair. However, I would be interested to know two things before deciding which side of the argument I reside:
1. Does the dual purpose nature of the DW mean additional charges or would they be the same if you had one or 100 events at the DW?
2. When promoted to the Premier League, were our rates increased straight away, or did we have a few years of paying League 1 or Championship level rates?
Good questions pie.. I’m no expert so won’t pretend to know answers. So thought I’d have a look on the web and to be honest still not sure..

Although the stadium hasn’t physically changed, the income opportunities have, so wouldn’t that mean the “Rateable” value of the stadium has dropped?
