Wouldn’t surprise me if this happened:

Admin to EFL: Look Rick, we are struggling to sell the Tics and the season kicks off on Saturday !

EFL to Admin: So are you looking for us to help you out of a tight corner and help you to save face ?

Admin to EFL: Well, since you put it like that; and we would see you right !

EFL to Admin: Okay, we could not allow the Tics to start the season and blame it on the lack of interest from new investors. Nobody will bat an eyelid, cos it’s only little Wigan after all ! Give it a couple of weeks and the fuss will have died down.

Admin to EFL: great, but I’ll break the news gently to W.A.S.C and spin them a good old sob story. Well, they’ll be awreet at Leigh Village in some tin pot miners league. Now, let me have your address and I’ll fix you up in the corporate box for Man Us trip to Elland Road.

Got a horrible feeling the admin are now manoeuvring into a position where they have to liquidate us ( mission accomplished ! ).I don’t like today’s comments where they say they are quietly confident of starting the season. To me , they are indicating there is an element of doubt. If this is the case ,they should not be allowed to get away with it.The admin have been a big part of the problem since the 01/07.Krasner and half wit Stanley’s only motivation has been to line their own pockets and not to secure the future of our great club.

Therefore, on the eve of the new season, this Friday 11th September, we – as a broad collective of Wigan Athletic fans – will picket Begbies Traynor HQ in Central Manchester. The aim of the demonstration is to put a spotlight on the actions of Gerald Krasner, Paul Stanley, and Dean Watson, to get clear answers explaining why agreements haven’t been reached with what appear to be serious bidders, and to raise more awareness of the plight of our club. Wigan Athletic is dying, we cannot sit back and let that happen.

We will assemble in St Peter’s Square, Manchester, M2 5PD (outside the library) at 11.30am this Friday before a demonstration outside Begbies Traynor HQ at 340 Deansgate, Manchester, M3 4LY (opposite the entrance to Beetham Tower/Hilton Hotel). Please remember to be mindful of social distancing guidance. The demonstration will be peaceful, but we will seek direct answers to direct questions.

Great to demonstrate and raise awareness, and also your comments Bullitt about doing it in a responsible way. Hope it doesn’t get hijacked by nobs that make us look like idiots in the media, which sadly I predict will be the case. Good luck with it

At the outset we had 55 interested parties making enquires and that was with £35 million of loans.

2 months later were lucky if we had one consortium interested. If Krasner would have offered the club at a sensible price and no restrictions on new owners selling Euxton I am positive we’d not be in the mess we are.

Assets were given away while Krasner claims thafs the market. I’m watching piss average players leave Derby for £15fookin million while we made massive losses on every player they’ve sold.
Derby are selling a right back for millions and they will fill those shoes with our player of the season for around 500k, is that the market ?? Bollox.

Let’s see how much that tvvat Krasner accepts off Boro for Morsey. If we got the correct money for Morsey and Byrne it would pay for the ground.
Admin have destroyed our club daylight robbery they need investigating. Lies lies lies all the way

Hang on. At the start of all this you wanted the high earners to leave. Now they are…you’re moaning

The issue we have as I’ve said before is that we have no income at the current moment. The Covid issue has helped to royally screw us over.

We need to find money on a monthly basis to pay the players wages. How do we do that with no ticket sales, matchday income etc?

We also have (or had) a squad of players that didn’t want to be here. They are Championship players who have been forced to play in League One on a fraction of their wage.

If players don’t want to be here then we can no longer afford to keep them here we have to get shut. A) it reduces the wage bill B) it brings in the monies needed to pay the wage bill.

The fees we have got for players have been shocking, but again we are not in the position to hold out for what we feel is the value of that player. In most cases we have owed money to other clubs for that player and their wage is a cost we need to clear. Clubs know all this. They know that we need £X to pay the debt on that player and they know we need £X to pay the wages. Why would they offer any higher than that? If the admins tell them to f*** off then the player leaves for free a few weeks later when we fail to pay his wage.

Yes the admins said we had the money to get through September, but what happens in October? Once the transfer window shuts our one and only income stream dies and we’re finished.

It’s a heartbreaking situation but it’s the reality of where we are. We are a club with no money in the bank and no money coming into the bank.

So then we have to keep the donations coming in for the foreseeable. If we all paid our matchday fee for every home game when we have a home game. Then and when we are all allowed back into the stadiums what’s been paid in already gets knocked off the season ticket price and we just pay the balance. At least some revenue will come in and help run our fabulous club. I cant take much more of the uncertainty and lies. We must save Wigan Athletic at all cost.

Matches will be available to stream I believe. If that’s the case then people need to buy the stream rather than use “other methods” or not watch at all.

I’d need to clarify but I’m under the impression that the club gets at least 75% of the income for a home game.

I don’t know if anybody else is like me, but I’m very reticent to put any money in the club at the moment because I genuinely don’t know where it goes.

No way am I lining the pockets of the hatchet men, but at the same time I’m desperate to help the club out. I’ve donated more than I really should have to the supporters club appeals, but I want to be able to give money directly to WAFC and I’m really not convinced that I can.

I feel exactly the same, I’ve gotta wait until payday before I can donate any more or buy a season ticket (fingers crossed).

Maybe if the admins sell the season tickets they’ll £5 a go?

You’re right otter, it’s a tough one. The club needs money though that is for definite.

From my understanding of things, the admins get paid at the end and will be taking any monies that would normally have gone to Au Yeung. Where that comes from though I’m not sure.

Yep i’m in the same camp as you men, i was fuming the other day when one of the admins in a interview said, “If the donations cease we will have to sell again” (or words to that effect) now that to me is bloody blackmail, the admins have sussed how desperate the fans are to keep the club alive and are rinsing us for every penny.

Someone, anyone buy the fuckin’ club so we can get these parasites through the door pronto!
